It has been a busy and fantastic summer, and I’m incredibly grateful for all the support from everyone. We have lots planned over the coming months, including: Friday Fries Night — with more exciting additions to our food offering coming soon. 5th September — Norfolk Thai, serving from 5 - 8 pm, with live music. 19th September — live music from Porky’s Hot Rockin’, with food to be confirmed. Fortnightly Thursday Quiz Nights — come along, test your knowledge and enjoy a great evening. Second Pool Team — we’re looking for players interested in joining and helping us start a second team. We have also recently held our first wedding under the new management, and it was a fantastic day. Please take a look at our social media pages for some amazing pictures from the celebrations. We’re available to host private parties, weddings and other events, so please get in touch if you’d like to discuss your plans. BURNHAM MARKET PRIMARY & NURSERY SCHOOL The final weeks of the summer term have been a busy and exciting time at Burnham Market Primary School, with pupils enjoying a wide range of sporting, creative and outdoor experiences. There have been some fantastic sporting achievements, with two KS2 volleyball teams representing the school at the Cluster Volleyball Tournament. Both teams performed exceptionally well, demonstrating excellent teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the competition. KS2 pupils also embraced the challenge of a High Ropes experience at Holkham, showing courage, resilience and encouragement as they tackled obstacles high above the ground. Dolphin Class received special recognition for their bravery, teamwork and determination during the experience. Creativity has also been celebrated this term. Pupils attended the premiere of their SpaceBop film at Fakenham Cinema, giving them the opportunity to see their work on the big screen. Their impressive art installation, Time and Tide, was also displayed at Burnham Overy Staithe Boathouse, showcasing the children’s talents within the local community. The beautiful summer weather provided further opportunities for outdoor learning and adventure. Seal Class enjoyed a trip to Scolt Head Island aboard the Welcome Ferry, exploring the coastal environment and its wildlife. KS1 pupils enjoyed a Beach Day, while Year 6 marked the end of their primary school journey with a special camp-out at The Brickyard. The school has also celebrated both individual and class achievements through its Good Work and Values Awards, recognising hard work, resilience, teamwork and creativity. As the school year comes to a close, there is much to celebrate. We wish our outgoing Year 6 pupils every success at high school and look forward to welcoming all our pupils back in September.
