NBC’s newest competition series, “Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge,” premiering Tuesday, May 30, is equal parts “nostalgia and creativity” as contestants overhaul one of their most beloved and memorable vehicles, turning it into a dream car. Inspired by the Hot Wheels toys, which were first premiered at the International Toy Fair in 1968, each contestant’s new, life-size creation will be evaluated by a panel of celebrity judges and car enthusiasts.
