Area: 922.03 acres Deepest Point: 56 feet Shore Length: 7.62 miles Defining Characteristics: Huxtable Point nearly divides the lakes in two. Akeley It has one public access located on the southeast side near Mission Park. Water Quality: mesotrophic with moderately clear water conditions most of the summer 34 Nevis aquatic plant species. Number of aquatic plant species: 32 different native Fish to Catch: black bullhead, black crappie, bluegill, brown bullhead, hybrid sunfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, pumpkinseed, rock bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, yellow bullhead, yellow perch, golden redhorse, white sucker, banded Park Rapids killifish, bigmouth shiner, blackchin shiner, blacknose shiner, bluntnose minnow, central mudminnow, golden shiner, Iowa darter, Johnny darter, mimic shiner, spotfin shiner, spottail shiner Historic Fact: Previously called Sandbar Lake due to the sandbar dividing the two sections of the lake. The water level eventually climbed and the lake formed 64 a horseshoe figure.
