Interesting Fact: Col. Freeman Thorp is a nationally renowned artist who built “The Castle” in 1908 - called a famous landmark - on the southwest shore of Clark Lake, next to his original log home called “Clarkhaven,” according to the “Oldtimers” book by Carl A. Zapffe.
