For those wanting degree-level study, our University Centre at our Poole campus provides a dedicated base for our higher-level course students and provides excellent technical facilities for learning. The Student Experience Team are a dedicated and experienced team which includes Exam Access Arrangements Assessors, Study Skills Coaches, a Student Health and Therapy Practitioner, Health and Sensory Support Coach, Support Advisers and even therapy dogs!

Gas Certification
Poole Campus
Bournemouth and Poole College is a BPEC Registered Gas Assessment Centre and a one-stop shop for all your gas and plumbing training needs. We have a wealth of experience in delivering quality gas assessments and training in both traditional and new green technologies, helping equip you with the key skills to thrive in an exciting period of industry development. We provide training and/or assessment for professionals seeking certification and recertification.
Both our Natural Gas Reassessments and LPG Reassessments can be done up to six months in advance of the renewal date (while still protecting this date). We can also offer LPG as a new qualification to existing heating engineers.
In preparation for your ACS reassessment, we do offer refresher and industry update training. However, this training is not a pre-requisite of assessment.

Our Foundation courses are designed to meet the needs of students with a range of learning difficulties.
They help to equip the students with skills they need outside of college, to progress on to further studies or prepare them for the world of work and adulthood, developing confidence, independence and employability.
Initially aimed at students aged 16-24, our Foundation STEPs and LEAP programmes can be followed by further courses, such as our NEXT Steps (Leisure) course.
Students who have already completed 3 years on the Steps course or who want a leisure-based option can access non-accredited activities, choosing from a range of options (where available) for 1, 2 or 3 days per week for a period of 36 weeks.
