KhallfaEconomlcZonesAbuDhabi (KEZADGroup),oneofthe region's largest operators of integrated economic zones, has announced thatChinaSouthernGlass(CSG)will establishitsfirstCNerseasintelligent manufacturingfacilityin the United Arab Emirates. Theproject, located in ICAD 1, Musaffah, represents an investment of AED 300 million and is expected to create 400 specialised and technical jobs, supporting Abu Dhabi's drive for industrial growth and economicdiversification.
The new facility will occu� a 95,000 square metre plot and serve as CSG's regional headquarters for the manufacture of high-performance energy-saving glass. Once operational, the plant will produce aver 5 million square metres of coated, laminated, and insulating glass annually. Products from the facility are intended for construction and infrastructure projects across the UAE, the

wider Gulf, Europe, Africa, and the Unitedstates.

The Abu Dhabi plant will feature automated and intelligent production lines, incorporating world-leading coating technologies. The facility is expected to begin operations in late 2026, supplying Ui\E developers with locally manufactured, reliable glass and reducing the region's dependence onimports.
This development further positions KEZAD Group as a hub for advanced manufacturing in the Middle East and reflects ongoing efforts to attract international companies to support the UAE's sustainable industrial and energy efficiencygoals.
Dubai Investments, a diversified investment compallf listed on the Dubai Financial Market, has announcedplanstodoublethefloat glassmanufacturingcapacity at its wholly owned subsidiary, Emirates FloatGlass(EFG),withtheaddition ofasecondproductionline.
The new line will increase EFG's capacity from 600 tonnes per day to 1,200tonnes per day, introducing Ultra Clear low-iron glass, a first-of-it&-kind capability in the MENA region that aims to deliver impr<Ned clarity, colour accuracy,andpremiumquality.The line isscheduled to be operational betweenlate2027andearly2028.
EFG'ssecondlinewillincorporate aCNanced automation, energyefficient systems, and nextgeneration process controls to ensure consistent product quality and operational reliability. The facility is also designed to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact, supporting

The project is being executed in collaboration with HORN Glass Industries of Germany, which will supply the glass melting furnaces and associated systems. A UAEbased civil works contractor and an international contract administration firm have been appointed to ensure compliance with high standards of project deliveryandoversight.
