TRUTH & RECONCILIATION Visitors to the Sp’ákw’us Gathering Stage on Tuesday had the opportunity to take part in recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, which takes place each year on September 30. People could learn about the 94 Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and choose one to commit to, as well as print a silkscreen of the little hummingbird Dukdukdiya who teaches us even the smallest individuals and acts can have profound impact. Dukdukdiya’s story can be found in the book The Little Hummingbird by local artist Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas.
