1. ARRIVE/WAKE UP EARLY on Bowen Island Bring your sun hat and water to stay hydrated Enjoy a breakfast at Tippy's, The Snug, Branch on Bowen, Tell Your Friends, Village Baker or Artisan Eats

2. BE SURE TO BRING YOUR FRIENDS & FAMILY! The more in your car the merrier. There is something for everyone! Paintings, Jewellery, Ceramics, Woodworking, Sculpture, Music, & Spoken Word

3. PICK UP A BOWEN ARTS TOUR GUIDE BOOK - available at each Art Studio/Hub, on the Ferry, at Bowen Tourism and at the Hearth Gallery. Alternatively, use the online Map and Brochure on your Cell phone! BowenArtsTour.com

4. PLAN YOUR TOUR- Check out the map, the Art Hubs/Studios page & the Artists Pages to see what intrigues you! Watch a performance, see art being created, listen to poetry, and more! pss... Don't miss the Residential Art Hubs. These Hubs have Exceptional Artists.

5. BOWEN IS A SMALL ISLAND

DRIVING- you can get from one side to the other in 10 -15 minutes, so be sure to check out Art Studios on the West Side, East Side, and In Snug Cove! You can get from Art Hub 1 to Art Hub 19 in 20 minutes PARKING - please be mindful about where you park - All Art Studios and Hubs will have marked designated parking. If Parking on main roads, ensure all 4 tires are off the road & not on the pavement as per the by-laws. Note: there is a Park and Ride option available. Park at the Fire Hall on Adams Road, just after Sunset and share vehicles with folks you’ve arranged with.

WALKING - 9 Hubs in and around Snug Cove easy to walk t0 Chat with the folks at Tourism Bowen located next to the Hearth Gallery. Buses (Translink) run with the ferry times, so you can catch them hourly They will take you near many of the Art Hubs - such as Bowen Cider House, Collins Hall out to Bluewater (Art Hubs 14 & 15) and White Sails Drive (Hub 16). Note: if you are walking off the ferry you can rent ebikes and Golf Carts from bowenebikes.ca

7. LUNCH STOPS - there are 3 ART HUBS offering FOOD - The Shed (Bowen Golf/ Art Hub 19), Bowen Cider House (Art Hub 11), & Tippy’s Cookhouse (Art Hub 2). There are also Restaurants in Artisan Square and Snug Cove

8 In the afternoon, enjoy an ART DEMONSTRATION or MUSICAL, SPOKEN WORD PERFORMANCE - check out the Schedule of Events online or in this tour guide (page 24/25)

9. AFTER TOUR DAY enjoy a supper at one of our amazing local Restaurants including The Bowen Pub, Tuscany, Bowen Golf - The Shed, Barcelona, Doc Morgan's, Bowen Sushi, or pick up supper at Alderwood Farms or the Ruddy deli and bring it home!

With 40 years in the field, Jeanette Langmann deals in and appraises fine art from Europe, North America, and Canada. She works with collectors and institutions, appears on CBC’s Canadian Antiques Roadshow, and serves on national arts boards.

With a background in marketing and the arts, Marie Neys has supported island artists for over a decade. She has mentored creators, opened a gallery featuring more than 55 artists, helped launch the Bowen Arts Tour, and founded the Paint it Forward program MarieNeys.com.

Kathy Clarke is a skilled jewelry artist known for her unique designs

With a passion for various materials, she aims to create pieces that reflect personal style and tell a story, blending creativity and craftsmanship inspired by each gemstone

Paul Zysman’s formative experience in Africa inspired his lifelong journey in community development and counseling, leading to the founding of communityevolution org Now retired on Bowen, he enjoys being part of the Bowen Arts Tour Team.

Heather Doherty gathers flowers, ferns, shells, and other natural finds from Bowen and turns them into art She preserves each piece and combines it with resin, glass, metals, and wood Learn more at thatladyheather com

Liz Nankin is a longtime costume designer in film, theatre, and TV She moved to Bowen in 2018, joined the Hearth Gallery Arts Committee, and has led debris‐art workshops locally and in the Lower Mainland. She co-created Bowen Fables, a five-part shadow‐puppet series on Bowen’s history.

Valentyna Gabinyetova is a lifelong maker whose crochet and photography reflect her love of simple materials and meaningful stories Her work has appeared in local galleries and is followed by a warm, engaged audience

With a Biology background centered on marine ecosystems, Michael Gustavson has spent ten years shaping clay works inspired by the sea His earlier 26‐year career was in corporate finance, but his work now centers on clay and its ties to the marine world
