Welcome to Maths Mates What is Maths Mates? You will be working with your Maths Mates, who are members of staff from Bournemouth University, over the next ten weeks. The lessons will happen during school time.

Rewards and prizes You will earn stickers and prizes if you are able to keep to the group agreement. Keep hold of your stickers here:

What will we do each week? During each session you will complete different activities which will practise your maths skills including place value, addition and subtraction. What if I need some help? If you are finding something difficult during the session, let your Maths Mate know and they will be able to help you.

Session 1: Maths Mates introduction A chance for you to get to know your Maths mates and the others in your group and find out what you’ll be doing over the next few weeks!

Session 2: Number and place value Draw the dienes to match the two-digit number. There are two empty boxes for you to choose your own number and draw the dienes to match. Two-digit number 46
