Why Choose Bosch Rooftop Units?

Verifiably Cost-Effective

Bosch dual fuel systems can reduce monthly energy bills, especially in regions with fluctuating gas and electricity prices. Also, dual fuel heat pumps with gas backup will typically have lower carbon emissions and operating costs than heat pumps relying solely on electric resistance.*

Expertly Engineered

The adjustable balance point control, dual-circuit redundancy, backup heating mode, operating cost and emissions tool, and the ability to reduce costs while meeting decarbonization goals are all optimized for year-round comfort and performance.

Automatically Efficient

Bosch dual fuel heat pump systems leverage the benefits of both heat pump and gas furnace heat sources to ensure peak efficiency in every climate condition, offering effortless energy savings and emissions reductions.

Smart Technology

A smart sensor monitors ambient outdoor conditions and automatically switches to the furnace when temps fall below the changeover set point, while Bluetooth-enabled controls simplify system integration and setup.

Easy Maintenance

Bosch dual fuel systems feature hinged panels and slide-out blowers to simplify servicing and minimize maintenance time.

Uniquely Reliable

The two-way backup heating mode automatically switches between heating options to maintain comfort when a source goes offline. Similarly, dual-circuit refrigeration ensures 50% capacity even if one circuit fails.

Highly Flexible

An adjustable changeover setpoint helps optimize performance and savings. Pro (6.5–12.5T) and Choice (12.5–25T) rooftop units fit a range of budgets and goals. Optional hot gas reheat (HGRH) provides precise humidity control. An easy-install, retrofit-ready design fits over 70% ofcompetitor curbs without an adapter (Choice), helping reduce operating costs and simplify replacements.

Consistently Comfortable

Instead of relying on inefficient electric resistance heating for supplemental capacity, a dual fuel system automatically switches to a more efficient gas furnace in freezing conditions, while also operating the gas furnace as an auxiliary heat source, enabling a delayed defrost cycle that reduces the “cold blow” common with electric-only systems in frigid weather.

Factory-Backed Warranty§

Bosch offers a limited warranty that delivers dependable, long-term peace of mind backed by the Bosch’s reputation for reliability:

▶Parts: 1 year

▶Coils: 1 year (3 years if coated)

▶Compressor and electric heat: 5 years

▶Aluminized heat exchanger: 10 years (15 years if stainless)

*Actual savings will vary based on the efficiency of the heat pump and the legacy heating system, as well as the climate, operating conditions and utility rates.

The Impact of Climate on Efficiency

At 47 °F, a 6.5-ton heat pump may offer 75,000 BTU/h heating capacity, whereas a gas furnace can output 146,000 BTU/h in the same conditions

The Bosch Pro and Choice Rooftop Units are ideal for commercial spaces. Their efficiency, precise control, and smart system integration make both units a strong fit for projects that need reliable, long-term performance.
