Borås has over 104,000 inhabitants which makes it the second largest city in western Sweden. It's a city in a state of constant change. It has always been a centre of commerce and textile production and, as in the past, continues to make great strides in progress. Today, Borås is a Nordic centre of textile, design and fashion. Borås is a vibrant city with an excellent cultural atmosphere, lots of cafés and restaurants, an interesting history and, of course, a wide choice of activities. Borås is the host city for one of Sweden's hottest fashion events – FashionDAYS – which brings together
trend-sensitive consumers, entrepreneurs and major fashion houses. This autumn will see the heroes of the city's basketball team, Borås Basket, show their true colours in the Swedish
basketball league, which kicks off on 4 October in Boråshallen.
