Memory Café In partnership with Northwoods Care Centre/Maplecrest Care Centre, Rockford University, Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter and Malgorzata K. The purpose of the Memory Cafe is to provide knowledge, understanding and education about memory loss in a relaxed atmosphere. 63, of Belvidere, IL passed away Monday, September 12, 2016, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL. He was born April, 24, 1953 in Sycamore, IL. The son of Kermit and Joan (Mason) Bennett. He graduated from Genoa High School and had a “BS in BS”. Kermit enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting, and being outside. He also enjoyed reading westerns and watching western movies. He was a life member of the NRA and the North American Hunting Club. He is loved and will be missed by his special companion Crystalyn Mays; children, Daniel (Sharrie) Wilcox, Loren (Amy) Wilcox, Tammy (Ty) Lynch, Kermit (Lisa) Bennett III, and Nicholos Bennett; 20 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; brothers, Terry Bennett, and Dennis (Maria) Bennett; sisters, Debbie (Terrell) Poe, and Vicki (Ken) Haurroff; nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and step-father, Stanly Jake Bennett. There will be a Celebration of Life Friday, September 16th, 1 - 3 PM at 7405 Logan Ave. Belvidere. A service will begin at 2 PM and there will be lunch to follow. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.belviderefh.com.
