SPRING EDITION 2019 Cheerleaders Place Third In State Finals The North Boone Varsity Cheerleading Team had another incredible year. They placed Third in the State Competition this year. This is the Third year in a row that the team has qualified for the State Competition. Members of the team include: Kylie Nelson – Co-Captain, Hannah Underwood – Co-Captain, Alexis Seabaugh, Emma Blasinski, Jenna Shattuck, Miranda Wagner, Jonah Brunschon, Olivia Topping, Samatha Becker, Kenzie Demann, Emily Feick and Jestina Goings. They were coached by Krystal Jole and Kim Crull.
Congratulations On Another Outstanding Year!
Matt Whilhelm’s BMX Show Visits Manchester In late February, Manchester invited Matt Wilhelm and his BMX Show to the school. While showing the students many tricks on his BMX bike, Mr. Wilhelm spoke with the students about the importance of perseverance. He shared that he would not be where he is if he had given up when things got difficult. His message is to stay in school and continue working through all of the hardships that come with being a student. Mr. Wilhelm also shared an important message about standing up to bullies. He says that it can just take one person to tell another to stop picking on someone, and he encouraged all the students to be that one person.
Outstanding Accomplishments In The North Boone School District Congratulations to the following students for being recognized for their All Conference Performance: Korey Yarc (Boys’ Basketball); Anna McMillan and Lexi Belvedere (Girls’ Basketball); Anthony Mercadante (Wrestling); Kylie Nelson, Hannah Underwood, Jonah Brunschon, and Emma Blasinski (Cheerleading); Dylan Rapp and Tommy Maxey (Scholastic Bowl). Maddie Woodcock was accepted into the IMEA Honor’s Chorus. The Drama students put on a spectacular performance of “The Wizard of Oz”.
North Boone Reduces Student Athletic Fees The North Boone Board of Education approved to lower the sports fees starting in the 2019-2020 school year. For High School and Middle School athletes, the fees will be $50 for the school year, allowing students to participate in all three seasons if they choose. There is a cap of $200 per family for sports fees.

SPRING EDITION 2019 Manchester Family Reading Night & Art Show
Manchester teachers and staff hosted Family Reading Night and Art Show on April 30th. Families had the opportunity to visit every classroom to learn different games that can be played at home to support learning in reading and math. Student artwork was displayed all over the building for families to enjoy. Our special reading buddy, Charlie, a therapy dog, was also in attendance for students to read to. Parents were invited to attend a special session by Tami Doetch, Manchester’s Reading Specialist, to learn extra ways to help their children read and comprehend literature at home. All families in attendance received a goodie bag, free books, and lots of treats to eat.
North Boone Moves To Online Registration Beginning in May, the North Boone School District will move to online registration. During the week of May 13th please watch for communication sent home regarding the website and directions for registration. Parents will be asked to present the following documents, either uploaded online, or brought in person to the school. These documents are required to complete registration. • Certified Copy of Birth Certificate • Social Security Card (New Student Registration) • Immunization Records • Proof of Residency Parents should allow approximately 45 minutes to an hour to complete the registration process, though the amount of time could vary depending upon the number of students being registered. Information about Kindergarten Parent Orientation, Meet the Teacher Night, school supply lists and additional pertinent information about your child’s school will be shared at a later date. Please refer to the district website for additional school registration information.
New Administrators Joining North Boone The North Boone School District would like to welcome three new administrators to our team. Kari Neri will be the new Curriculum Director for the district. Nicole Difford will be the Principal at Capron Elementary School and Jarrod Peterson will become the new Principal at North Boone Upper Elementary School. The Middle School will have A llison Louis returning as the principal. Allison previously worked at the Middle School before going into administration, then served as Principal of Capron Elementary. We welcome our new administrators and look forward to working with them for the upcoming school year.
