Each week will be full of new games, activities & field trips. Time: 7 am - 6 pm • Days: Monday-Friday. Please register children for the grade they are entering for the 2023/2024 school year. First week attending of camp needs to be paid in full at time of registration. Register at belviderepark.org or in-person at Rivers Edge Recreation Center. Fees: R/NR: $165/$170 • Min/Max: 8/20 (KI) • Week 2 & 4 fee $132/136 due to shorter week.

There will be a variety of items from multiple family donations including clothing, media toys, kitchen items, etc. New Horizons participants are preparing for this sale & are actively accepting donations. All proceeds help offset activities & materials needed for the program. Discover - Ages 3-5 Filled with new discoveries. This camp is filled with fun age-appropriate activities, games, & crafts. Focusing on developing a sense of curiosity, socialization, interpersonal skills, & play. Children are required to be toilet trained. Location: Rivers Edge Recreation Center. Explore - Grades K-1 Exploring & broadening the camper’s horizon with new experiences & opportunities! Large & small group trips, being active, & having fun will build up each camper’s confidence & enhance selfesteem. Location: Rivers Edge Recreation Center. Achieve - Grades 2-3 Focus on developing positive values & a strong sense of self. Creating an atmosphere of trust & fun is our goal. Each week will bring new achievements & accomplishments through group games, activities, & field trips promoting cooperation & team building. Location: Rivers Edge Recreation Center. Lead - Grades 4-5 The goal for each of our campers is to set a great example & lead. Lead campers will focus on developing their leadership skills & potential through the opportunity to be a role model to younger campers, a chance to relax & bond, with unique & fun field trips. Location: Rivers Edge Recreation Center. Succeed - Grades 6-8 Our oldest group of campers will face fun & adventurous challenges over the course of the summer. Learning what it means to set your mind to something as an individual or group with a goal to succeed. Location: Rivers Edge Recreation Center.

Join us for a game at American Family Field in Milwaukee. We are heading to see the Cubs take on the Brewers. Game is scheduled for 1:10 pm. Travel is by air conditioned motor coach. Tickets are limited so register early! (AG) Location: Maintenance Center, 1011 W. Have you ever wanted to learn how to cook, play a new sport, camp, or do magic tricks? Camp Horizon wants to teach you how to do something BRAND NEW! Each week, campers will have the chance to learn a new skill (or two or three) & spend time each day working on them! Camp will fill the day with activities, summertime snacks, crafts, wacky experiments, swimming at the Belvidere YMCA, visitors, field trips, & playing at different parts of the Park District. Breakfast & snack will be included, & campers are required to bring a cold lunch every day. All campers will receive a t-shirt! If you are new to Camp Horizon, please contact Sean Cramer to complete an Intake Assessment before registering. All participants must complete updated participant-specific info via ePACT prior to the start of the summer. (SC) Min/Max: 8/25 • Location: Special Recreation Facility • Time: 7am-6pm • Transportation: NONE. Age: 5-21 • Register by: Monday at 11:59 pm prior to week attending. Camp Horizon Mandatory Parent Meeting & Camper Ice Cream Social Wednesday, May 31st 6:00 - 7:30 pm Special Recreation Facility Is your child between the ages of 3 & 5 and ready to have some summertime fun? This Camper in Training program is the perfect introductory program for them to get adjusted to summer camp life! Campers will attend 2 mornings a week, & participate in camp activities with the Club Horizon program. Staff ratio will be 1:3 to provide extra support to your little ones. Morning snack will be included. If you are new to Camp programs, please contact Sean Cramer to complete an Intake Assessment before registering.
