My wife Chris and I chose Boone County to work in and raise our two daughters over 40 years ago. I am always humbled by the generosity and giving spirit of this community. It has been my privilege to work for the Community Foundation for over seven years. I appreciate and value each one of the Board of Directors I have worked with over the years. I appreciate the dedication and enthusiasm Melissa has for the Foundation and look forward to its future success.

Paul Fischer, Boone County Community Foundation Executive Director since 2015, announced his retirement effective December 31, 2022. He will be succeeded by the current Assistant to the Director, Melissa Erickson who has held that position since November of 2018. “Paul has been a tremendous asset to the Foundation,” stated Dave Gallano, BCCF Board President. “During his tenure, the organization saw an increase of more than $7 million in assets and total community giving of $1,861,815. We know Melissa will step right in and pick up where Paul left off.”
