Yvonne J. Branom Yvonne J Branom 1931 - 2017
Yvonne J Branom of Belvidere passed away peacefully with her sons by her side on Saturday December 9, 2017, at Cherryvale Place in Rockford. Yvonne was born March 19th, 1931 in Chicago, IL, daughter of Edward T. and Mary (Fanning) Jones. Yvonne earned her Undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1951 and her Masters in Speech Pathology from University of Wisconsin in Madison. She married William Branom in Belvidere on June 29, 1963. Yvonne worked as a speech therapist for Belvidere School District 100 until dedicating her time to caring for her family after her first child was born. She was a member of Zonta Club of Belvidere and Retired Teachers Association. Yvonne enjoyed playing bridge with friends and spending time with her family. Yvonne is loved and will be missed dearly by all of those that knew her. Yvonne is survived by her son, Matthew (Tara) Branom; granddaughters, Abigail and Nora; son, Edward (Kim Sanford); and Kim’s children, Allison and Tyler. She was predeceased by her parents and husband. Funeral service will be at the First United Methodist Church in Belvidere on Saturday, December 16th at 9:30 AM. Visitation will be at Anderson Funeral Home in Belvidere on Friday, December 15th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. A memorial fund will be established in Yvonne’s honor.

WELLNESS CENTER/WEIGHT ROOM The Wellness Center is available to members 13 years of age and older. Orientations on proper use of the machines and training etiquette are available at no charge for members by calling 815-547-5307 to schedule an appointment with one of our Wellness Center staff. Children under the age of 11 are not allowed in the Wellness Center/Weight Room and we ask that they please not sit in the hallway. Those ages 11- 12 who have taken the Goal Setters class are allowed but we ask that they wear their Goal Setters tag they have been given. REFUNDS/POLICIES Program refunds by check will be granted approximately 30 days from the date of the request for the following reasons only: 1. Medical excuse 2. Bank draft error on the YMCA’s part 3. YMCA cancels class • All refunds will be applied as a system credit unless a monetary refund is requested. • No refunds or make-ups for classes, or programs that fall on holidays, or for weather-related cancellations, including power outages. • We do not prorate for late sign ups. • No refunds will be made once a program or session has started. • Fitness classes run the first two weeks of the session. If classes do not each their minimum requirement of attendance after two weeks, the YMCA reserves the right to cancel the class and you will receive a prorated refund. • The YMCA does not accept postdated checks. In partnership with Northwoods Care Centre/Maplecrest Care Centre, Rockford University, Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter and Malgorzata K. Bach, MD, Rockford Health Systems, the Boone County Council on Aging is hosting Memory Café meetings at The Steam Plant Restaurant in Belvidere. The purpose of the Memory Cafe is to provide knowledge, understanding and education about memory loss in a relaxed atmosphere. The meeting will be held in the meeting room at The Steam Plant Restaurant. Meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of the month. The next meeting is Tuesday, December 19th, at 6:00 PM.
