Dragon’s Den Wednesday 22, Thursday 23 May Year 5 girls spent some time before half term assisting Year 9 in their ‘Dragon’s Den’ activity. They formed focus groups, giving feedback on products that the girls are designing – they were very impressed with the ideas pitched to them.

Finally, I have been asked by the PA to encourage you to buy your tickets for the Summer Festival on Sunday 23 June – more details are included later in the Newsletter. Mrs C Laverick Pupil Achievements Congratulations to Tullah who is a member of the Hallé Children’s Choir, and has recently has taken part in the MacMillan Concert in celebration of the retirement of Sir Mark Elder. He conducted all 350 members of all the Hallé choirs with full orchestra in two concerts at the Bridgewater Hall last week, and will be conducting them for his final time before his retirement at the Royal Albert Hall, London, in July. What a special thing for Tullah to be a part of – well done!

Maths Masterclass Thursday 23 May Three of our Year 5 girls joined with pupils from other schools, to take part in a Maths Masterclass just before half term. They had to work together to solve various problems and challenges. NSPCC Speak Out Stay Safe Assembly Monday 3 June Girls enjoyed a special assembly on Monday this week, to remind them of the importance of speaking up if anything is bothering them. They will do follow-up sessions in class over the next couple of weeks. Year 5 and Year 6 pupils will also have a workshop delivered by the NSPCC, on Thursday 13 June.
