Bolton School Primary Division Junior Boys’ School Wednesday 27th September
Autumn Term, 2023 — WEEK A From Mrs. Faulkner
COMPULSORY SCHOOL EVENT THIS TERM: Carol Service, Tuesday 19th December, 7pm
Wednesday 27th September Swim Development, 4-5pm Cubs, 6.30pm PA Meeting, PR 6.45pm
School has certainly settled into its usual busy routine with all clubs and fixtures being well under way. During the course of the year, we do endeavour to have as many pupils as possible selected to represent school, particularly in Years 5 and 6, so do please reassure your son that if he hasn’t been selected this time, he should maintain his efforts as there will be lots more opportunities. This morning, I was delighted to present our new Year 6 Monitors with their badges, I am quite sure they will undertake their duties with dedication and determination. Well done to all who were selected, they will serve in this role until February when a new set of Monitors will be selected. Now that we have all settled into our routines, I have noticed that more and more families are choosing to make arrangements to meet their sons away from the Park Road playground at the end of the day. This is, of course, absolutely fine and I am sure that your various arrangements suit your family’s needs appropriately. Please can I just ask however, that you remind your son that should you not be at your designated meeting place, he understands that he should come back to school, where he can be looked after and we can get in touch with you in order to reassure him. This evening we will be holding our first PA meeting of the year. I do hope to see many of you there, if you aren’t able to make meetings but would still like to help at events, I am quite sure there will be many opportunities to do so. We’ll look forward to sharing information from that meeting in next week’s newsletter.
