Earlier this week, we all very much enjoyed taking part in our Charity Walk. Despite the heat, the boys helped each other along to complete laps of the levels in aid of the Foundation’s Malawi school appeal. It was fantastic to see the junior boys and girls coming together to enjoy the afternoon, the boys even managed to show the girls some moves in our warm up dance! Having had the fun part of course, now comes the charitable element—please do remember to help your son by ensuring the money pledged to the charity on his behalf makes its way into the fund via Parent Pay. We will share a final Park Road, Primary Division and Foundation total with you early in the Autumn Term.

The Bolton School Summer Festival was a huge success on Sunday, the sun shone and everyone seemed to have a great time. Friends of Bolton School have asked me to pass on their thanks to everyone who purchased tickets and to all the volunteers, the school staff and the Estates Team who enabled us to make this event happen and to those of you who donated so generously in so many other ways. Plans have already started for next year’s event.

Next week is, of course, our final week in school and there is lots still to fit in before we finish at 4pm on Friday 5th July. We will share exact details of the arrangements for the final day with you on Monday but, in the meantime, you may want to book a slot in your diary for the Sports Day event which will take place on Friday afternoon starting at 1:30pm on the bottom level at Senior School. This is always a great way to end the year and I know the boys do very much appreciate hearing the roars of parents cheering them on. I hope to see many of you there. On Friday 28th June, the boys will be bringing their end of year reports home, these envelopes will also contain the boys’ end of year assessment results. Reports will be available on Parent Portal but, please note, that the assessment results will not. If your son’s report includes comments written by Mrs Hunt, please be aware that these have been written in conjunction with the teacher who had previously taught that subject, whether that was Mrs Winstanley, Miss Fletcher or Mrs Brisk, and so does reflect work and progress across the whole year.
