GOOD, CLEAN AND FAIR WINE
Conceived by Slow Food and organized by BolognaFiere, Slow Wine Fair is the international event for good, clean, and fair wine.
Participation as an exhibitor is reserved exclusively for winemakers who have proved a commitment to sustainable farming practices — practices that respect biodiversity and the landscape, foster the development of rural communities, and aim to raise consumer awareness of the cultural value of wine.
SLOW WINE FAIR 2026
Sustainable agriculture
WINE AS A DRIVER OF INCLUSION AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
Landscape protection
Socio-cultural development

The 2026 edition of the Slow Wine Fair (5th edition) will focus on the social issues connected to wine and its production.
An opportunity to explore the role of viticulture as a means of:
- integrating foreign workers: poor inclusion results in a high turnover rate and lack of professionalism in the vineyards.
This weakens the socioeconomic fabric, leads to labor shortages, and fosters unsustainable farming practices
- including women and young people, by promoting broader participation and encouraging more equitable and sustainable models.
- revitalizing local areas, helping to counter depopulation and enhance the economic and social value of often‑neglected regions.
DISCOVER SANA FOOD, ALONGSIDE SLOW WINE FAIR
Running alongside the Slow Wine Fair, SANA Food is the premier B2B event on healthy, sustainable, and high quality food, designed for the out of home dining and food retail sectors.
New in 2026: exhibitors will include Slow Food Presidia and networks, with training sessions, tastings, and round tables.
THE EXHIBITORS
WINEMAKERS AND VIGNERONS
Over 1,000 Italian and international producers, grouped into exhibition areas by country and Italian region of origin, meet with industry professionals, national and international buyers, and wine enthusiasts to open up new business opportunities.

biodiversity. All participating wineries produce excellent wines, either reviewed in the Slow Wine guide or tasted and evaluated by a panel of experts for their organoleptic quality.
The Manifesto serves as the foundation of the Slow Wine Coalition, an international alliance of 4,200 signatories from 35 countries. This network brings together all actors across the wine sector — from producers to professionals and consumers — to advance new approach to winemaking.
SUPPLY CHAIN PARTNERS
AMARO AND SPIRITS
Within the concept of a virtuous circular production model, the supply chain plays a key role in supporting producers’ efforts to reduce their environmental impact.
To this end, a dedicated exhibition area at the Slow Wine Fair is reserved for companies in the wine supply chain that, through innovative machinery, equipment, and technologies, help modernize the agricultural system and enable winemakers to adopt
sustainable and, environmentally responsible production methods.
At the Slow Wine Fair, visitors will therefore find lightweight glass that reduces logistical impact, sustainable packaging materials, organic and biodynamic fertilizers and plant protection products, techniques for recovering and reusing wastewater, nurseries focused on native grape varieties, and the best high tech and digital solutions for quality viticulture.

The dedicated area for spirits, which engages the world of Mixology, and for “amaro” — centered around the Fiera dell’Amaro d’Italia — has been met with great enthusiasm from both professionals and enthusiasts alike. requirements for participation — while professional bartenders craft innovative cocktails for visitors to sample. These same products can also be discovered at selected bars and restaurants around Bologna as part of the Off Events.

COFFEE
Making their return to the Slow Wine Fair are the roasters and experts of the Slow Food Coffee Coalition, the international network that brings together stakeholders from across the coffee supply chain.
This is a unique opportunity to learn how to taste coffee mindfully, to recognize and select quality coffee, and to explore the many parallels between wine and coffee: both are iconic beverages in Italian gastronomic culture, both come from fruit, express the uniqueness of their terroir, feature different varieties and distinctive aromatic profiles, follow specific serving rules, and — above all — can be the product of good, clean, and fair production practices.

VISITORS
TRADE VISITORS
Each year, the Slow Wine Fair attracts an increasing number of professionals representing a broad range of categories: buyers, importers, distributors, sales agents, bar and pub owners, restaurateurs, sommeliers, wine shop owners, journalists, and opinion leaders. These experts play a crucial role as they can steer consumers toward wines produced through virtuous methods rather than mass agriculture, which relies heavily on synthetic chemicals and disrupts local territories.
In addition to attending conferences, meetings, and masterclasses to deepen their knowledge of vintages, terroirs, and producers, professionals can access an exclusive and free online matchmaking service (b2match): this tool allows them to browse exhibitors by their specific interests, create a personalized appointment schedule, and make their visit more productive.
Italian specialized visitors are invited through Slow Food’s network of nearby restaurateurs and with the support of Horeca trade associations.
Meanwhile, a delegation of selected trade visitors from key international markets attends the fair thanks to the scouting by BolognaFiere’s Incoming Office, which coordinates a network of European agents and collaborates closely with the Italian Trade Agency. International buyers and importers are offered a dedicated program.
