Welcome We started this female sale in 2015 and still tough to fathom that was 10 years ago. Feels like yesterday we renovated the sale barn for a winter sale. To all the past female sale patronage we say Thank You, this event is one we look forward to every other December.
Charolais is the word in the cattle feeding industry and what an exciting time it is to be involved in all things BEEF! There has never been a more exciting time in this industry and its laying the foundation for the next few years to come. The feeding industry demands cross bred calves and the char cross calves top the marketplace consistently. Some of the best feedback over the past twelve months with new customers is the price they get for their char cross heifer calves. Evolution of the Charolais female is on such a rapid pace. As breeders of this white breed we have listened to our customer base and bred accordingly. These females have come full circle in 20 years, we have found the fertility, soundness, size, and efficiency. The calving ease has evolved so much we are sending bulls out on large groups of heifers in the past few years. This great white breed has never been in more of a drivers seat than we are right now. From the youth in the breed to the new breeders looking to get involved. Excitement is contagious and this breed is exciting. We feel this set of bred heifers is deep from every sire group there is females that will add value. The fundamentals of our breeding philosophy will never change we like them sound and low maintenance! I want these females to go out and produce for 8 -10 years like their dams have done or going to do. We strive to produce bulls, these females are built to do that. Our great friends the Elder family are involved with us again and we couldn’t be happier to have them here. I was always told surround yourself with good people and good thing will happen. I just cringe when I see the dam to this King Kong female and then think about selling one of her daughters…we shouldn’t! She is deadly and her udder is 10/10. Cecilia cow family is one of the most productive in our program. You combine that with King Kong and you have one of the strongest pedigree female in our program. We have a female sale every other year, for a reason. But when we do we bring out our best. This heifer calf to me can be a cornerstone female in any program. Lexus is a really good breeding tool to me in so many aspects. To me she is kind of the signature WC female we look to produce. I like them to look like soggy cows from the get go, our charolais are very easy to go the other direction in a hurry. Lexus is how I love them, soft ribbed, tidy skulled, wide based, and awesome udder type. You can breed her in so many and be highly successful.
