Delivery: We will provide free delivery within 250km. If shipping out of province or country is required, we will assist in making arrangements.

Testing and trucking is at buyers expense. Pick up options available after sale ends; to be arranged with Ryan or Sara Gilchrist. All animals must be picked up or delivered by November 30, 2025 unless prior arrangements have been made.

Payment: may be made by cheque or e-transfer, payable at the end of sale. Cheques and e-transfers can be sent to the breeder you purchased from. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made.

Health: All sale animals are fully vaccinated.

At birth - Gilchrist Genetics Heifers received Inforce 3, Calf Guard, ADE & Selenium. Nolara Farms Heifers received Inforce 3, ADE & Selenium, cows are vaccinated with Scour bos prior to calving. At pasture turn out and weaning

- Gilchrist Genetics Heifers received Bovishield Gold One Shot, Fermicon 7/ Ultrabac 8, and Ivomectin. Nolara Farms heifers received Pyramid 5 with Presponse, Vision 8 and Ivomectin.

• All lots will sell under the standard terms and conditions put forward by the Canadian Simmental Association.

• Every animal sells to the highest bidder, as determined by FarmGate Auctions.

• Registration papers will be transferred to buyer after payment has been received.

• Animal purchased becomes responsibility of buyer at the end of the sale. We highly recommend that you purchase insurance. While we will always provide the utmost care of your animal, we are not responsible for any illness, injuries or mortality after the animal is declared sold.

Welcome! We can’t believe it’s been 5 years since we took the leap and had our first Gilchrist Genetic Gems Female Sale!

We run 75 momma cows, Red & Black Purebred Simmentals and a commercial herd that is primarily Simmental x Angus based. We AI all of our cows both purebred and commercials on their first cycle to add genetic diversity to our herd. We also utilize embryo transfer every spring and 2 heifers in our offering are the result of that. In our offering you will find heifers sired by Sunrise Captain Blaze 5C, SVS Justified 62K, Hart State of War 56C & Harvie Red Summit 54B.

Our heifers were weaned July 29th with the use of quiet weans for an easier transition. All heifers are vaccinated and will be palpated prior to sale day.

We are happy to have Nolara Farms join us once again with selections from their Red and Fullblood divisions.

Photos were taken September 27th and videos will be taken around Thanksgiving and posted on our Facebook page (@GilchristGenetics), Farmgate listing and Bohrson Marketing website.

There are a couple heifers noted that they will be shown at Farmfair International. We welcome their new owner to join us show day and show their new heifer if they would like to!

Mickey is an eye appealing, solid red heifer out of two black parents. Sired by Sunrise Captain Blaze 5C who has hit a home run for us every mating and GG Black Mickey 32J, a RF/RUST Stimulus 610D daughter. Mickey is a stout hipped, well balanced heifer who we have enjoyed watching grow. We knew at a few weeks old that she would be one to keep; she just had that look about her! We bred her momma back the same way so we decided to offer 6N here. Fingers crossed we get another just like her!

No Alibi is a long bodied, feminine made, blaze face daughter of SVS Justified 62K. This is our first time trying Justified and so far we like what we’ve seen. We got 3 calves off him this spring; this heifer 12N, we retained one heifer and we have a bull calf that weaned off at 1,020lbs without creep; he will sell in February 2026 in The Gentlemen’s Bull Sale. Alibi’s dam, SKV 4J, is sired by RF/RUST Stimulus 610D going back to our Blacksand heartbeat 75B cow. Production runs deep in her pedigree, so much so that SKV 4J is slated for the donor pen next spring! We walked her dam’s full brother as our herdsire and we have sold two half brothers in previous bull sales. She is a clean fronted, structurally correct heifer that has a nice square hip and good dimension of rib in bit larger frame than others in the offering.

Nevada is the first daughter of our SKV Cimmaron 33C “Ronnie” donor cow that we have offered for sale. When we implanted spring of 2024, I(Sara) said that if we got more than one heifer calf that I would let one go in this sale. Her photo speaks loudly as to why we haven’t let any Ronnie daughters leave the herd! Her brothers have topped our bull sale the past two years going to South Dakota and Quebec. Nevada is a powerful, deep bodied, big bellied heifer that has production cow written all over her, yet is pretty enough fronted to have some fun in the show ring! She is free moving, loose hided and has loads of presence about her. Nevada will show along side her full sister RSG 21N and half sister, RSG 17M this fall.

We think 36N is every bit as good as her sister 16K, with a little more chrome and a uniquely marked face. I (Sara) will be the first to admit that this photo does not do her justice, you need to see her in person or watch her video. “Ellie”, as we call her, has them big fluffy ears that all the greats have! She is well balanced, structurally correct female with a smooth shoulder that extends into a feminine neck and head. We will be showing her along with her solid black sister, RSG 28M, this fall. Ellie is going to turn heads just like her sisters 16K & 28M!

“ND” is a hairy, dark red, stout, and well put together Harvie Red Summit daughter. Her mother, SKV 14H, is a blaze faced SKV Defiance 47D daughter. 72N is a structurally sound made heifer that carries ample rib shape and a strong level of top. You probably notice that there’s a Summit heifer in the offering every year, and that’s because they flat out work! “ND” would make a great youth project as she is super quiet! How to Participate in the DLMS Farm Gate Timed Auction with Extended Bidding

1. Visit dlms.ca and follow the link to the DLMS FarmGate timed auction site www.farmgatetimedauctions.ca, click the LOGIN/REGISTRATION button. First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to signup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your user name and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions.

2. You can choose your favourite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Any time there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity.

3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maximum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will no longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest.

4. At closing time of the sale the entire sale will extend bidding if a bid is placed on any lot in the sale. Any bid received after close time will extend the sale by the time listed on each sale. In Most cases the time gets shorter the longer in to extended bidding the sale is. When no bidding occurs for the extended time the computer will declare the sale finished.

5. Following the sale the Owner or Sale Manager will invoice all buyers in the sale, please contact the seller with questions or to arrange delivery, pick up or shipping of your purchases.

WHAT IS RACEHORSE STYLE SALE CLOSE?

Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding.

HOW WILL EXTENDED BIDDING WORK? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.

Welcome to the 5th Genetic Gems sale! We would like to thank Sara & Ryan for having us back for another year and for all the work they do for us in preparing the heifers for sale day.

What a great year to be in the cattle business with record breaking calf prices! The future is looking very promising to be in agriculture.

Our heifers were weaned, August 18, 2025, which is a little bit later than years past. The heifers are vaccinated and will be palpated prior to sale day. Photos were taken at the end of September and videos will be taken closer to sale day.

Starting off our offering is Nancy! Nancy is our only red heifer this year but she is a good one! Out of a solid made first calving Sheriff daughter, Nancy is a smooth shouldered, easy doing female with a lot of capacity. Her dam, 2L, is an easy keeper and is as sound as they come; good feet, good udder. Keeping Notes is a little lighter coloured heifer but is deep bodied, strong topped and has that feminine look about her. Her sire is LNS Gatekeeper 49G, who is a dark red goggle eyed bull that we raised and used on our commercial cows for a few years. We finally used him on some purebred cows and liked what the results were. Her dam is out of Black Gold Elevation and out of one of our best cows, 56Y, that we acquired from Virginia Ranch. 56Y is still in production at 14 years of age and continues to wean the heavy weights! Nia is our youngest heifer in the sale but she might just be the best…dark dark red, single goggled, soft bellied, long bodied, stout, small teats, are all attributes Nia possesses in a moderate package. We purchased her dam, Gia, as a bred heifer from KSL Simmentals and she has been a great addition here at Nolara Farms. Gia is an easy keeper, good uddered with excellent feet.
