FROM DIAMOND T Welcome

It is with great excitement we put together the inaugural Matrons of Mountainview sale catalogue; the idea of a fall sale has been bouncing around our kitchen table for a few years. We are typically thinking about how we best build our cow herd, share our genetics and generate revenue. In the spring of 2024, we spent significant resources flushing cows and implanting embryo’s not even remotely thinking about having a sale. As this calf crop grew through the early spring, we realize that decision in 2024 had given us the ability to think more aggressively about a fall sale.

We are often asked why we sell females? Why not keep all your top-end ones and sell a few older cows. Don’t get us wrong, we do that as well but we have worked extremely hard to reduce the amount “bottom end” heifers…so it’s our opportunity to share the “top end” ones with you. We would be thrilled to keep them all but the feed pile and our manpower at calving time, tells us we can’t do that. We have gone over and culled our replacement pen; those have gone to town; these heifers are 100% what we would love to keep in our replacement pen if we had the feed and ability to calve them all out in the winter of 2027.

We are so proud of the females we have on offer this year; a great selection of open heifers, pick of the bred heifers and after a slow battle with Justine and Hiller, the show cow “2379” is highlighted as Lot 1, with her full sib embryos as Lot 1A. We are so proud of the cow herd we have been striving to grow, they are sound, functional, easy keeping, highly fertile and productive. We are rarely satisfied with status quo; each day working to advance our operation and cow herd to something we dream of.

Over the years we have culled hard for temperament, structure, fertility and honest production; we remark each spring at the bull sale that we can’t afford to creep feed all the bears in the west country; so, the cow herd is culled that way! We are proud of the cattle we raise, honest and hard working. No extra management because we spend too much time driving to 4H, cattle shows and hockey arenas to over manage!

Never in the history of the cattle industry have we experienced a level of profitability and excitement like we are seeing currently. All classes of cattle are at record highs; we can feed cattle at a reasonable dollar this fall and the optimism to come back to the family farm has never been greater. In saying that, it’s about DAMN time because we all work so hard for so long to keep things one the up and up. It is times like this that make the last 2 decades of blood sweat and tears feel like it was worth it. So, lets make that investment into our cowherd with that new donor prospect, foundation breeding piece or significant building block.

Please come join us on October 26th for our Open House where you can tour the sale lots, cow herd and 2026 Bull Sale pens. We look forward to hosting you at our own yard, just a couple miles southeast of the sale yard. Plan to come for the day where we can host you with what everyone has come to know as Diamond T hospitality!

FROM BOHRSON Welcome

It is with great excitement that we welcome you to the first annual Diamond T “Matrons of Mountainview” Sale. For those who know the Gardner family, you already understand the values that drive their program — a foundation built equally on family and on raising the very best Angus cattle possible. This inaugural event is not only a showcase of the herd they have so passionately developed, but also a celebration of the hard work, dedication, and vision that Diamond T Land & Livestock continues to invest in the Angus breed.

The offering before you is an impressive blend of proven females and future-oriented opportunities. Leading the way is a very special Lot 1 female that has already earned her share of accolades in the show ring and now sells as the ideal representation of what the Diamond T program is all about — maternal strength, structural soundness, and breed-leading quality. From there, the sale deepens with the Pick of the 2024 bred heifers, which is as transparent and progressive as it gets. Nothing is held back, and bidders will have the opportunity to select directly from the very top of both the Black and Red divisions. It’s a true testament to the confidence and integrity with which the Gardner family approaches this milestone sale.

Adding even more excitement to the lineup is a strong group of show heifers that blend eye appeal with the functionality and quiet disposition that cattlemen demand. These heifers are not only the kind to succeed in the show ring but are designed to go home and be productive, long-lasting cows that make a difference for their new owners. The Gardners are offering the very cattle they would proudly keep themselves, which makes this group an outstanding chance to acquire the same quality they rely on to strengthen their own herd.

At Bohrson Marketing Services, we are honored to work alongside Diamond T on this inaugural Matrons of Mountainview event. We have seen firsthand the pride, passion, and effort that goes into this program, and we are confident you will find genetics in this sale that will create value and opportunity in your own herd for years to come. On behalf of our team, we invite you to study the catalogue, visit with the Gardner family, and participate with confidence in this exciting first edition of what is sure to become a highly anticipated annual event.

Best regards, The Bohrson Marketing Team

LAKOTA 2379

WHEEL DRACARYS 86G RED ALLISON ELYSIUM 80J RED ALLISON BESS 61E

If Hiller has corned you at any junior show since April of 2024, then you know, this is “Hiller’s Cow”! One thing we stand firm on, is that both kids can pick whatever heifer they want to show each year, no questions asked by mom & dad! So, this is now Hillers cow!

Every year, Justine gets a gut feeling about certain calves at weaning and 2379 is one of them. Lakota 2379 is a Red Allison Elysium 80J daughter and he is setting the Red Angus breed into a new paradigm for foot quality, muscle definition, constructiveness and power. All over North America, cattlemen appreciate the Elysium offspring. Now, Lakota herself is a high-octane specimen in terms of bone density, integrity, ideal shape and girth, but most impressive is that flawless utter. Picasso couldn’t paint one any better if he tried. This is the most unmatched genetic opportunity we have ever offered.

LAKOTA 25144

Generational improvement! It’s what we all strive for; it’s what we breed for; it’s what we live for. When the factory is this good, it’s very challenging to outdo yourself but that is exactly what we have done here. Lakota 25144 is so deep cherry in her color. As stout featured as you can make a Red Angus, she is incredibly bold in her center body cavity all while maintaining an elegant demeanour. This very end of March heifer will stack cheques full of ROI on your office desk so high that you’ll have trouble seeing over them in her career because the maternal merit is so high in this female. On either side of the border, from coast to coast, this one has what it takes to take your operation in an exciting direction.

2024 BORN BRED HEIFERS

40+ females to choose from as a group that has been extensively picked through to leave the top 40 to come back into our herd and be the next generation of building blocks and you get your pick. Everything but Calynn’s 4H is available. Brooking Mercury embryos daughters, Montana Judgement females with power including Hiller’s “Barb”, a pile of Peak Dot No Doubt females that are always good. On the red side, get a full sister to lot 4 the leadoff red heifer, or a Royal Rock that is built for calving ease. The opportunities are endless.

The black females are all AI’ed to Compass Smoke Wagon 131L and cleaned up with an exceptional Coleman Bravo son while the reds are bred to the $18,000 calving ease specialist Red U2 Achievement 3351L all for January.

We reserve the right to retain a future flush on the female chosen at the buyer’s convenience and our expense. Selection to be

Red Allison Elysium x Red Six Mile Frado combo is one that gets us more fired up than the wood stove during a 38 below calving night in January. Already a showstopper at Showdown in Stettler this summer for the kids, this soggy-middled lady is going to be a production master for her new operation because the Frado cattle always get it done. Raising front-pasture brood matrons to elite show females that have gone on to be powerhouse cattle on both sides of the 49th parallel, the Frado’s have set the bar for functional cattle at Bar-E-L, Allison’s and of course 6Mile. This is a full sister to the sale feature in Angus Collection last fall to Olton’s in Nova Scotia.

QUEEN 25135

This March born heifer is one that is hard to part with. Her outcross B/RC mom is an HF Shawshank 243E daughter out of a cow we purchased from Lauron Red Angus at Red Round many moons ago. We have mated this cow red her whole life and finally have a red calf to show for it, so we convinced Justine to let us sell her. 25135 has show heifer wrote all over her and her performance will have her as a standout in the late divisions. Red cattle with a foot like hers, substance and style, they are hard to find but easy to purchase.

WITZEL 2527

U2Q PRESIDENT 60H RED U2Q ACHIEVEMENT 3351L RED U-2 MISTY 350C

Feast your eyes here on this fancy, deep cherry red heifer. She has been catching our eye since the day she was born. Out of a sweet made Timberlake daughter and our Herdbull Red U2Q Achievement she’s royally bred and destined to be a breeding piece for any operation. She’s so smooth and well put together, she would also look the part on a halter. Her Timberlake mom is one of Justine’s favourite cows born in 2022! When the dam is this good, back the trailer up and load the factory.

RED PACIFIC ROLLING ROCK 8K SIRE

COUNTESS 25115

This Rolling Rock daughter is set to be a real sweet cow, going back to the Countess cow family that was purchased at the Crowfoot Dispersal; a sale we ended up with a trailer load from and all these years later remark that we should have bought a liner load because they just plain work for us.

The Countess Cow Family is a bigtime favourite around Diamond T; 1434 is a never miss kind of cow with high selling bulls and females retained in our herd that work repeatedly. Bulls selling to Mackay’s, Nielson Land & Cattle, Moore’s, Snodgrass’, and Hadwin’s. This moderate tank is one that will make a lot of friends, even more when you see her in person.

ROKA 25142

Stout featured, broad topped, cool looking maternally driven female here guys. This pedigree chalked full of breed leading genetics like Tiger, High Caliber, Reckoning, Franchise and the immortal Mulberry. Roka is a cow family that has been built around longevity, fertility and dark, great structured feet. If there is a young 4H kid looking or scrolling through this catalogue, here’s a young division heifer that will stand beside a lot of tough cattle and produce you a strong offspring when we get her bred the right way. Maternal brothers have headlined the Stockman’s Choice for 3 years selling to purebred and commercial cattleman.

MARTA 2594

I know right? A chance to buy a Marta 807 granddaughter with a maternally & royally bred pedigree and a cool look…you better be viewing DLMS on October 28th. The Marta cow family has put a ton of impactful herdsires into the industry like Upper Cut, War Dance, Roush, Hold Em and Redwing alongside too many females to even count. This moderate statured sweetheart is stout pined, broad based and filled with a ton of style.

TILDA 2550

Big time performance, frame and power on this black/red carrier. A heifers first calf that will be one of the highest indexing females of her contemporary group. This is the first group of W Sunrise Deuce 240L, and we are so excited for them. The Bohrson crew found him and purchased him from Tanner and Megan 2 years ago for us the $20,000 calving ease high seller that year. Tilda 2550 is one that will raise big-time herdbulls or those powerful steer calves that will top the market and combine her outcross pedigree…this one is unique.

Here’s quite a pedigree for ya; Hoover No Doubt, Basin Payweight, Bar E-L Natural Law, and Connealy Consensus. This one is going to make an elite cow! This is the first progeny to EVER sell from the $15,000 Diamond T The Thrill 2353 that Canadian Sires bought 2 springs ago. They are ultra calving ease, wicked profiled and super sound. This divine female has the look, power and substance to stand competition in any breed and will be a force to show, but her best days are going to be brood matron because of that pedigree. I’ll bet you a steak sandwich that this one is circled in your catalogue.

The BARDOLIA’S

Have you ever been walking through your summer pasture admiring your calves? You are out to set down some new salt and mineral when suddenly, through the trees walks a stout featured, brick shit house? That’s the exact case that happened when we gathered sale heifers in June. Bardolia 2588 hit us with so much look, style and power that we knew right then, this beast needed to be apart of our exciting new event. She is the product of a Brooking Emerald flush to a Firebrand cow we are building around. Weather you are wanting a practical brood cow in the making, or an elite show prospect that could hunt in brackets and Jr Nationals, this is one that needs to be seen.

BARDOLIA 2520

DIAMOND T BARDOLIA 1826

DIAMOND T BARDOLIA 1446

When we initially talked to the Bohrson crew about this event, they all told us to put our best foot forward and sell genetics that were tough to get rid of. Well, that’s an understatement here for sure. This Schiefelbein Showman daughter is most likely one of our kids’ 4H heifers or the top replacement in the pen that could go to DRI in the spring to get an exciting flush…but instead, she’s a headliner in this sale and we couldn’t be prouder to showcase her for you. Added performance, frame, power, dimension and mass along with a cool hair coat, this one will hang banners next spring for sure. She is a maternal sister to Hiller’s “Barb” heifer that was very competitive this spring and summer. Stack all of that up with her pedigree of 707, Final Answer, Rush Lake, 9969, Upward and Renown and you have a genetic masterpiece.

BARDOLIA 2525

Arguably the coolest profiled one of the bunch! Bardolia 2525 is a freak in terms of length, she is so elevated and elegant in her head-neck-shoulder junction and looks prettier than Justine on Valentines Day. She is sired by the $180,000 Montana Judgement 1038 bull that has produced Denver champions, breed leading sons but I predict that his daughters will be his historical talking point in years to come. 3 maternal sisters have been retained, and she is from the same direct cow family as lot 16 & 17.

BARDOLIA 25105

I could talk about this pedigree for hours. We sold Bardolia 1491 in Family Matters to Brooking Angus Ranch but the spring before, we flushed her to HF Alcatraz 60F with Compass Ranch. The dam of this heifer Bardolia 2228 is the result of that flush as she is starting to really set herself apart in her contemporary group after her first 2 progeny. Last year she raised the $15,000 high selling bull in our sale, Diamond T Best Answer 2409 to Torbay Farms. Maternally, this is one of the most stacked pedigrees in the offering and this sweetheart will have a bright future.

T

BARDOLIA 2507

We found a great one a couple years ago at Compass Ranch in their December bull sale named Smoke Wagon 131L. We lost him too early, but we have used him on all the heifers the last 2 years, and we are pumped for the calves. The bulls are calving ease, stout, hairy and massive while the females cowy, soggy and broody. That’s no surprise because Smoke Wagon is backed by the $40,000 pick of the Bar-E-L cowherd Bar-E-L April 44C (Natural Law). The kids packed this stout topped, wide pined, big footed, shaggy sweetie to Showdown where all the neighbors fell in love with her.

JUDGEMENT 1038

The final Bardolia daughter on offer and maybe the most unique and optimal breeding tool in the toolchest of them all. This Montana Judgment female is backed by an outcross pedigree on the bottom side and has 4 Pathfinder donor cows as her great granddams. This one is genetically modified to produce high end offspring. Peak Dot has made the Bardolia cow family famous for generations and they are our most prominent as well with over 40+ females in our arsenal. You won’t find one any better footed, uttered and natured than this one cowboys.

Brood cow, tank, herd builder, herdbull maker, you name it. The possibilities are endless with a pedigree like this. On the dam side, there is the production giant Peak Dot No Doubt 1019G that has left us females we will build around for generations and on then the maternal granddam is a CAA Elite Dam so historically this cow family raises the big ones. Combine all of this with the new Deuce bull from W Sunrise that Is sired by the $95,000 SSS Deuce 2H who is backed by one of the breeds elite cows in U2 Rosebud 157C.This female is royally bred and destined to be a money maker.

BARDOLIER LASS 2544

4H kids, juniors, youth of all ages! Gather around and feast your eyes on this sweetheart that needs to be in a show string next spring and summer. If you are wanting to head to Jr Nationals next summer or get a leg up in your 4H club with a female that will compete and but also leave you as a future production matron, Bardolier Lass 2544 is the one to look at sale day. Her maternal sister was a club champion female last year for Corbin Kidd in Sundre. Her mother is incredible, and we see so much future in this one.

HOLLOW QUEEN 2513

Trust me when I say this, “this female is cool.” There isn’t enough O’s in smoooth (see what I did there) to depict how good Hallow Queen 2513 is. Big footed, large timbered, great Angus skull, loads of chest floor and dimension power. This lady is built to be a brood cow prospect. Nate Marin found the Soo Line Motive dam from Brooking a few years back and she has left us with 4 retained daughters that we absolutely love and sons that consistently top the sale including arguably her best one yet in this January rip.

LASSIE 2555

Please do yourself a favour and collect as many Montana Judgement daughters as you possibly can over the next couple of years because they are going to be elite. This one is wide muzzled, bigger leged, soggier middled and yet carries refinement, elegance and a feminine nature to her beautiful design. Same cow family as lot 23 and Lassie 2555 is also a maternal brother to Affirm 2250 working in mom & dad’s commercial herd.

MERLE 25107

The day of the Crowfoot dispersal many years back, people filled up trailer loads of cattle and years later, we all wished we filled up liners instead. Our favorite heifer calf that day was this April born that stacked legends in her lineage like 6595, Right Time, EXT, Travelar and Joker. The paper alone sold it! Fast forward all these years later and the female is still in her prime. Numerous daughters retained and countless sons have sold through the Stockman’s Choice. Is this one the biggest boned, the swoopiest in her belly, the most powerfully constructed, No. But she will flat out go to work and that’s a fact.

The kids have taken the lead on this set of sale calves this summer all by themselves. On day 1 of halter breaking, Hiller had this one tied up high, scratching her legs with a metal comb and even clipped her top out a bit. By day 2, Calynn washed her and roughed her out. This is maybe the most quiet natured sweetheart in the entire offering and would make an incredible 4H or junior project.
