Welcome
Another year has passed us by so quickly, I can’t believe that I am sitting here writing this Welcome up and doing our write ups for our annual bull and female sale. We would like to invite you to our 4th Annual Movin On Farms No Nonsense Bull and Female Sale on February 25, 2017 at 1:00 at the Lloydminster Exhibition Grounds. Our program is based on making the cows work harder and meaning that we work less. We have them grazing as much as possible and with the way that the fall went this year we found ourselves with more swath graze than we expected. The cows have to maintain themselves and produce a good calf which has left us a very sound and functional herd. Once again we have a great selection of two year olds, yearlings and heifers calves for this year’s sale. We stand behind our bulls 100 % and if there is a problem we want to be the first to know, you will have a bull working in your pasture as soon as possible. We are very grateful and thankful to our customers for giving our program an opportunity to work in theirs! We would really like to thank the crew for helping us get-r-done! Thanks to the boys and their spouses, their buddies and our neighbours. Thanks a lot, we couldn’t get the sale done without all of your help and support! His sire was one of the high sellers from Minburn Angus a couple of years ago when the first bunch of Duty sons came on the market. The dam goes back to Belvin Patriot on the top side and Dynasty 03G and Empire Pride 51M cow family. 51M produced 13 calves. Bull calves were at the top end of our sales and 3 working daughters in our herd and two in Z Bar Angus that they bought out of this sale. This cow is just a moderate frame cow that gave her all to her calf. Her first bull sold to Mitchell Farms and her daughter is in the herd. Then there is this guy that is deep, wide, thick, has some middle to him and has a great disposition. He will improve a cow herd that is why we are keeping a half interest in this bull. 2016 HEIFER CALF CROP We are bringing in for you another cross section of our heifers in for your appraisal. They are coming to you in their working clothes as we have not put any extra feed into these girls as they are raised right beside the ones that we are keeping. I swear that this job of picking the heifers that are coming into the sale gets harder every year with culling very hard this fall and having to keep some from cows that have never had a daughter before, makes it even harder so the three of us go out and look over the heifers, there are always disagreements, discussions and some plea bargaining before the list is complete. We always say that you have to sell the good ones and can’t keep them all. We feel that this is a very complete set of heifers that will catch your eye! Terms are cash or cheque sale day, unless prior arrangements have been made. Other credit terms can be made available. See Murray. PAYMENT OPTIONS: half down sale day and a post dated cheque for April 1, 2017. See Murray for other arrangements. We reserve the right to draw semen on any of the Bulls.
INSURANCE:
Insurance will be available on sale day and we ask that all cattle left be fully insured.
DISPUTES:
In case of a dispute, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.
PURCHASER’S RISK:
Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
LIABILITIES:
All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller and facility owner assume no liability legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. Under no circumstances shall Movin On Farms be responsible for more than the purchase price paid for the said animal.
HEALTH:
All animals will be sold in compliance with the health laws of Alberta. All bulls are vet inspected before delivery.
BREEDING GUARANTEE:
All bulls are guaranteed breeders. All bulls will be semen tested and vet inspected. If a bull does not work he will be replaced with another one or a credit for next year’s sale.
REGISTRATION PAPERS:
All animals selling are registered and will be transferred only upon full payment and on request of buyer.
DELIVERY:
Free delivery within 200km radius. Bulls delivered after being semen tested in May.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Any announcements from the stand will take priority over catalogue material.
BULL WARRANTY
We guarantee you with a sound, fertile bull capable of servicing a reasonable number of cows. In the event all is a non-satisfactory breeder the seller will not under any circumstances, be responsible for more than the original selling price of any bull sold in the sale. The consignors will not provide replacement or credit for physical injury or mismanagement. Therefore we stress the importance of insurance on your bull. An insurance agent will be available sale day.
