With emphasis on vibrancy, balance, and consistency, the inspiration for this metro map came from the Asian philosophical concept of Yin and Yang which can be found in many traditional Korean designs (including the national flag). The Yin-Yang element is found consistently throughout the design such as the river in the center and transfer stations.
