The majority of the Classic Play products have been designed by the Dutch architect Aldo van Eyck (1918 – 1999). In 1947 he was hired by the municipality of Amsterdam to design a public playground. Back in those days there were no public playgrounds for children (the only ones in the city were accessible via membership) and his first designs were an enormous success. He soon became an independent designer specializing in playgrounds and up to 1978 he designed well over 700 of these, of which in 2016 seventeen were still fully intact. Classic Play portfolio is still craftsmanship, made in our own factory. It has the same quality and durability as back in the days and is still played on by kids nowadays.
