STAFFING AND EQUPIMENT
All rooms are rented “as is.” The resources and staffing required will depend on the type of event, room setup, and audience size. Here are some key points to consider:

Sound, lighting, video, and event rentals can be provided with proper notice.
COORDINATION
All outside support services must be coordinated through the venue and handled by its staff.
COSTS
Events may incur hourly or fixed rates for various services, including Event Managers, Ushers, Facilities, Cleaning, Security, Stagehands and Teamsters.
PRICING
Each event will be priced based on the hours of the event, including setup, event time, and teardown, inclusive of all hourly labor.
EXPERIENTIAL
The Boch Center offers a variety of special services to enhance your event experience:
GRAND LOBBY UPLIGHTING
A complete package for uplighting the Grand Lobby columns, with a variety of colors to choose from. Lighting starts one hour before your event and runs through its duration.
AV, LIGHTING, SOUND, AND ENTERTAINMENT
The Boch Center has a small lobby sound system available and can provide estimates for these services. The center works with top vendors in Boston and have a list of preferred vendors if you wish to coordinate details yourself. Our theatre has sound and lighting available for rent.
TOURS
Private docent-led tours of the Boch Center, including FARHOF exhibits, are available for $20 per person with a minimum of 20 guests. Tours last thirty minutes and can be scheduled during your event.

CATERING
When planning an event at the Boch Center, caterers will collaborate closely with you to create menus and proposals tailored to your needs. Here are key points to consider:

A four-hour event typically requires a two-hour setup and a one-hour cleanup, resulting in at least seven billable hours per catering professional.

The number of guests, menu selection, event logistics, style, and timing will influence the level of staff needed.
The Boch Center requires the use of one of our approved caterers for all events hosted at our venues. Non-Approved caterers are not permitted. This ensures that your event runs smoothly and meets expectations. If you have any specific questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!

The Boch Center’s partnership with Sodexo Live! ensures top-notch concessions and beverage service for your event.
BEVERAGE SELECTION
Wide variety including beer, wine, liquor, champagne and sparkling wine, soda, juices, and waters.
INCLUSIVE QUOTES
All quotes include beverages, bartender, plasticware, ice, bar fruit (lemons/limes, specialty fruit upon request), tax, and management fee.
SERVICE OPTIONS
Choose between a consumption bar or cash bar.
GLASSWARE
Sodexo estimates include plasticware. Selected caterer may supply glassware, upon your request.
For a 3-hour cocktail party with a full bar, including beer, wine, and soda, the estimated cost is $65-$85 per guest. For a 4-5 hour event, such as a corporate, social, or wedding reception with cocktail hour, dinner with wine service, and post-dinner celebrations, the estimate is $85-$100 per guest. These prices are based on the house selection of top-shelf wines, beers, and spirits. All alcohol service ends 30 minutes prior to event ending. Soft drinks and waters are served throughout the event.
