Pineapple Press
November 1, 2025

November is here, bringing cooler days, full calendars, and a season full of energy, connection, and excitement at Boca Royale! Itâs been wonderful seeing so many familiar faces return and welcoming new members who are experiencing their very first season with us. The Club is buzzing with activity, and itâs the perfect time to enjoy everything Boca Royale has to offer.
We start the month with two special events, the Boca Cares Fall Fundraiser on November 6th, supporting our local community, and the Members Art & Craft Show on November 7th, celebrating the creativity and talent of our members.
Later in the month, weâll gather with family and friends for our festive Thanksgiving Buffet on November 27th, with takeout options available for those who prefer to celebrate at home. Itâs always one of the most special dining experiences of the year, and a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season!
As we move into the busy months ahead, weâre also excited to share our updated Club dining schedule. The Club will not open for Monday night dining unless there is a member or private event. Tuesdays feature our popular Pizza Buffet, Wednesdays include Prime Rib & Pizza Night, and Thursdays debut our brand-new Slider Night! Fridays will continue with our rotating Themed Buffets, and our next Sunday Brunch will take place on November 16 with Live Music by Dick and Kami. th
The Season Handbook will be distributed soon, highlighting events from November through May across golf, racquets, dining, and social activities. This year, weâre also introducing monthly Fine Dining Experiences on select Saturday evenings, an elegant new way to enjoy the clubhouse with specially curated menus and service. Stay tuned for the first date announcement coming soon!
From all of us on the management team, thank you for being part of our Boca Royale family. Your energy and support make this community so special. As we move into the heart of season, we look forward to sharing another wonderful year of connection, celebration, and unforgettable moments together.

Golf Course Update
What a difference a year makes! Last year at this time we were recovering from Milton and the record amount of rainfall for the summer of 2024. Fast forward one year ahead and we are in dire need of rain. Over the past 2 weeks or so, you may have noticed some problems with dry areas on the course. This is due to the lack of rainfall and the intentional decrease in watering. We have cut back on water based upon several factors. The first and most important reason is water is scarce. Englewood Water District supplies our reclaimed water.Over the past few months, they have been turning off reclaimed water to do service and repairs to their infrastructure. This means that our water supply is a fraction of what we should be getting from them.
The second reason for the cutback is that we need to ration our water in the event this drought continues. We have cut back on the time of watering as well as the frequency. The priority is greens, then approaches, tees, fairways and rough. We will continue to maximize our watering efforts to keep up course conditions, but you will see some effects of the drought. This is something we must deal with every so often. We are starting to implement the use of wetting agents and soils amendments to help try and hold water in the root zone to offset the decreases in our watering schedule.
When we get into situations like this, it is of the utmost importance that we follow all the cart rules. Cart traffic is not good for dry, stressed turf. Please follow the cart rules and do your part to help us get through this drought with minimal effects on our course. Please see the cart rules below to refresh yourself with the policies.
The other item of concern for all of us is ball marks. We have recently seen a significant uptick of unfixed ball marks on the greens. This is probably due to where the ball marks are in relation to where your ball came to rest on the green. If you hit a shot into the green, the ball will release due to the firmness of the greens. Basically, donât look for your ball mark near where your ball has come to rest. Instead, pay attention to where your ball lands on the green. Chances are your ball mark may be 20 to 30 feet away from where your ball sits on the green. Please do your part and repair your ball mark and any others you may come across.
We look forward to seeing everyone out on the course.
Golf Cart Policy
All riders must pair up. 1 cart per twosome and 2 carts per threesome or foursome Cart may drive out on the fairway using the 90 Degree Rule
90 Degree Rule means drive from the cart path to your ball then drive back to the path
All Carts, including handicap flags, must return to the path at the BLUE LINE Carts must remain on the path for the remainder of the hole and continue on the path until you tee off on the next hole
On holes 13,16 and 18, carts must remain on the path from the bridge until they tee off on the next hole
All Par 3âs are CART PATH ONLY unless you have a handicap flag. Handicap flags must return to the path at the BLUE LINE on all Par 3âs and remain on the path until you tee off on the next hole
All Carts must be on the cart path past the BLUE LINE. These policies are in place to protect the turf.
Violations will be handled as follows:
1 and 2 offense is a written warning st nd
3 offense is a 1 week suspension rd
4 offense is a 1 month suspension th
Subsequent offenses may result in loss of membership
Warnings will come via email along with a photo that shows the cart owner or driver of club cart in violation of the policies set forth above.
Golf Course reminders
How do I sign up for a tee time?
The best way is to use the Boca Royale App or go to the member portal on the Boca Royale website and choose from the available times. You may also cancel a tee time the same way.
How do I sign up for games and tournaments?
The Club is using Golf Genius for all events. If you are not receiving the sign-up emails, please talk to pro shop to add your information. You should download the app and learn to use it. Golf Genius is set up so you will receive an email notification and invitation to play in weekly morning games one week prior to play. You will be able to respond to the invitations by choosing âplayingâ or ânot playingâ. By responding to the invitation, you will get a confirmation email.
Signup sheets for games and tournaments and normal tee times are also always available by stopping by or calling the Pro Shop at 941.474.7475.
Update from the Womenâs Golf Association
The WGA Opening Day âHalloween Themedâ event on 10/21/25 was truly an amazing event. It started out with some significant spooky fog that rolled in for the first few holes and it was difficult to see the green and your ball.
A big thank you to Deb Moretton who chaired the event and her remarkable team of Ginger Reece, Nancy Wilson and Dee Boyer The decorations and games were incredible
We had 89 women participate in the golf event and another 12 women attend the lunch and WGA Meeting that followed the Tournament.
The next golf tournament is the Turkey Trot, a joint MGA/WGA event on November 14, 2025.

fitness news
Winter Season is upon us. Also known as "Snowbird Season", it's the time of year when we welcome our seasonal residents back to the Sunshine State. It's also when we see traffic on the roads increase and much more activity at the fitness center. Here are a few reminders about what you'll see at the gym as well as some upcoming activities.
Remember the fitness center requires a key fob for entry. If your key fob doesn't work, you'll need to contact the POA (941-460-8020) to reset or replace it. Please do NOT pull on the door if your fob doesn't work.
We sent out an email about the new cardio equipment that arrived in July. If you need to learn more about all the great features this new equipment has, talk to John, the personal trainer at the gym.
We offer yoga and Pilates twice a week. A weekly calendar is emailed for your convenience. You can sign up via the Team Reach app. Contact Allie Lowery for access and assistance with the app.
We began doing monthly fitness orientations for those of you who are new to the community or as a refresher for those who haven't been to the gym for a while. Check the Pineapple Press and the weekly update emails for dates and times. Our latest orientation was well attended.
For any questions, please contact John Richardson, personal trainer at JRichardson2167@gmail.com or (931) 896-2211.
