NOTE FROM SALE MANAGEMENT: From all of us at Mid-Atlantic Cattle Sales we want to say thank you for your interest in the 2026 September Select Bred Heifer Sale. This year is one of our largest sales yet and is stacked full of high-quality bred heifers, mainly due to calve this fall with a few Spring calvers. The producers in the sale have brought you their best and we are so appreciative of the quality they are bringing to the sale. All these heifers have been bred, born, and raised in the southeast to perform and excel in this environment, most raised on just grass and hay and being fed just a little bit to keep them docile. These heifers are ready to go to work for you raising calves that will make you money at sale time next year and beyond! For those not familiar with our sales, just a little recap on how the sale will work. The cattle will be brought in on Thursday to the sale facility where they will be palpated by our sale vet and all cattle will receive a Vira-Shield 6 VL5 vaccine booster and updated on dewormer. Cattle will then be grouped into as uniform groups as possible based on consignor, expected calving dates, and visual appearance. We strive to make these groups at about 4-6 head per group. At sale time each group will be brought into the ring to sell and the winning bidder will have the option to take as many as they would like out of the group or can sweep the ring. We strive to make these groups as uniform as possible so that it is easy to sweep the ring, but it is not required to take them all and there is no minimum number that you must take out of each group. Cattle can be loaded out as soon as the sale is over and, in many cases, we are able to start loading while the sale is going on as well. For those people that cannot pick up on sale day, cattle can stay in the barn overnight for no charge and can be picked up on Sunday. We will also have hauling options available if you need trucking for your purchases. We have everything from gooseneck trailers to ground load trailers and tractor trailers available. Breeding Guarantees
Females will all be preg-checked and checked for reproductive soundness by a licensed veterinarian. Females are guaranteed to be bred on sale day unless otherwise listed.
Terms and Conditions
All animals will be sold at public auction on sale day to the highest bidder. The auctioneer will settle any dispute as to bids. The animal becomes the property of the winning bidder when the auctioneer says sold. The terms of the sale are cash or check.
