FLORA’S FIELD KITCHEN FRESH PRODUCE
CULTURE
With the arrival of its first-ever Michelin guide in 2024, Los Cabos is enjoying much-deserved acclaim for its food scene. What’s more, the entire region has a strong farmto-table movement, focussed on sustainable produce and dining. Cabo San Lucas is renowned for its high-end culinary scene with Michelin-star spots including Cocina de Autor at Grand Velas Los Cabos and Japanese-Mexican fusion restaurant Nicksan. Family-run taquerias and street food stalls provide authentic local flavours. In San José del Cabo, many of the town’s eateries reflect its artistic heritage in attractive, peaceful environments. Acre, surrounded by jungle, is another fusion offering, serving both ceviche and ramen in an open-air setting. Flora’s Field Kitchen, formerly an organic farm, grows its own produce, raises chickens, has an onsite butcher program, and bakes all its bread, too. There’s plenty of food-focussed events to tickle the taste buds too, with many of them recurring daily or weekly. Every Wednesday at Chileno Bay Resort & Residences, the Washoku Dinner experience combines the Japanese culinary tradition with Mexican coastal gastronomy.
