âTIS THE SEASON A flurry of holiday events is in store!
Election Day is Nov. 5 » On Tuesday, Nov. 5, Wake Forest voters will elect three commissioners to the Wake Forest Board of Commissioners. Polls are open 6:30 a.m.â7:30 p.m. The seven candidates running for the three open seats are Greg Bartholomew, Jim Dyer, Heather Loftin Holding, Anne Reeve (incumbent), Chad Sary, Sean Sullivan and Adam Wright. Rebroadcasts of the Candidates Forum held on Oct. 22 can be viewed daily at noon and 6 p.m. on WFTV 10 or on the Townâs website at wakeforestnc.gov, search âwftv-10â. Also, be sure to download the
Townâs app to access the âChristmas in Wake Forestâ function. The function is designed to offer smartphone users instant access to all the Townâs holiday happenings. Holiday Schedule: Wake Forest Town Hall and all other administrative offices will be closed Nov. 11 for Veterans Day, Nov. 28â29 for Thanksgiving and Dec. 24â26 for Christmas. Joyner Park Community Center is now open » The new 32,000 square-foot community center at E. Carroll Joyner Park features a walking track, gymnasium for pickleball, basketball and volleyball, cardio equipment, dance studio, kitchen and an outdoor playground. Located at 701 Harris Road, the center is open MondayâFriday, 6 a.m.â10 p.m.; Saturdays, 8 a.m.â4 p.m.; and Sundays 1â5 p.m. A Rec Card is required to access amenities offered at Joyner Park Community Center.
