A bouquet of withered flowers that tells the story of decay in the most elegant of ways. The creative mess on your desk that you don’t even notice because you are too busy doing other things. The vintage crockery that has been with you for ages, and will be passed on for generations. Our homes tell the stories not only of taste and preference, but also of who we are and what we dream of becoming at any given time.

This urge to cultivate the distinctly personal has long been picked up by interior magazines, decorators and influencers. Tactile finishes that age gracefully, such as soft textiles, complex stones and expressive woods, are preferred over the slick and new. The subtle sophistication of mixed materials in a room conveys a collected interior, which tends to be more compelling than those that appear to have been overtly designed or too deliberately curated. The current trend dictates interiors that are down-toearth, unpretentious and celebrate the tangible – with the latter being perhaps the most striking element. Because, when everything can be done on a computer screen, and social media is overflowing with AI-generated dream homes, there is something truly appealing about the little flaws and shortcomings of reality – not least about the fact, that everything actually exists and can be neither optimised nor manipulated.

This season, we’re happy to present a number of new designs that build on the special blomus aesthetic that we are proudly known for. How about a vase that gives you the opportunity to display your favourite flowers in unexpected ways, or a set of discreetly scented candles that creates that familiar feeling of homeliness the moment you step through the door? Or a mix of plump cushions and soft throws that will make your sofa the best place on earth when you need to rest?

While we at blomus may have a fondness for minimalist, simple and smartly designed objects with a clear purpose, we are also curious as to how our designs can be mixed with your favourite collectables, vintage objects and pieces of art – all the little things that make your personal space feel just right. Whether you are of the ‘tidy house, tidy mind’ mentality or a collector with a sense of maximalist grandeur, we are delighted to be part of the story of your home. After all, life is all too often chaotic, messy and wonderfully imperfect, and this too needs to be embraced. A place where people exist, where life happens, is never going to be spotless all the time.

Unser Zuhause erzählt nicht nur von Geschmack und Vorlieben, sondern auch davon, wer wir sind und wovon wir träumen, was wir einmal werden wollen.

Dieser Drang, das Persönliche zu kultivieren, wird seit Langem von Einrichtungsmagazinen, Dekorateuren und Influencern aufgegriffen. Taktile Oberflächen, die in Würde altern, wie auch weiche Textilien, komplexe Steine und ausdrucksstarke Hölzer, werden dem Modernen und Neuen vorgezogen. Die subtile Raffinesse von gemischten Materialien in einem Raum vermittelt ein gesammeltes Interieur, das in der Regel überzeugender ist als solche, die offenkundig entworfen oder zu bewusst kuratiert erscheinen. Der aktuelle Trend verlangt nach einer Einrichtung, die bodenständig und unprätentiös ist und das Greifbare zelebriert - wobei das Letztere vielleicht das auffälligste Element ist. What sets the new Kankyo tray by blomus apart is its innovative composition. Kankyo means ‘environmental protection’ in Japanese, and constructed from a sustainable blend of 65% recycled bamboo and 35% resin, it embodies eco-consciousness without compromising on style or durability. Das neue Tablett Kankyo von blomus zeichnet sich durch seine innovative Zusammensetzung aus. This is indeed the case for the new Kagetsu vase designed by Kazushige Miyake. Whether gracing a table top or acting as the centrepiece of a room, the ceramic Kagetsu vase truly embodies minimalist elegance and traditional Japanese artistry. Inspired by the charm of a single flower or branch displayed in a vase, Kagetsu celebrates simplicity and beauty. The vase can – true to its inspiration – serve as a vessel for individual blooms, but it can also accommodate small and simple flower arrangements, drawing inspiration from the traditional Japanese skill of exquisitely blending flowers of various shapes, colours and scents.

True to Miyake's design philosophy, Japanese culture and tradition are deeply ingrained in the essence of the Kagetsu vase, adding depth and meaning to its aesthetic appeal. Shaped like a crescent moon, the vase is serene and elegant, and it's no wonder that the designer chose the name Kagetsu, which combines the Japanese characters for flower and moon, reflecting the vase's organic shape and celestial inspiration.

JAPANISCHE ANMUT

Ob kühn und kunstvoll oder schlicht und unaufdringlich, eine mit Blumen gefüllte Vase ist immer ein Genuss. Einst standen die Vasen im Schatten der Blumen, die sie enthielten, heute sind sie ein eigenständiges Design-Statement.

Das gilt auch für die neue Vase Kagetsu, die von Kazushige Miyake entworfen wurde. Ob auf dem Tisch oder als Mittelpunkt eines Raumes, die Keramikvase Kagetsu verkörpert minimalistische Eleganz und traditionelles japanisches Kunsthandwerk. THE PERFECT CENTREPIECE

The Miyabi series by Japanese designer Kazushige Miyake, which was introduced in 2020 as a design object made of ceramic and was supplemented shortly afterwards in the tall stainless steel version, is now completed with the introduction of the short Miyabi vase in polished stainless steel and burned metal, while retaining its characteristic design, shape and simple sophistication.

While the original Miyabi vase excelled in showcasing upright flower bouquets in a traditional manner, the new short version offers a canvas for more voluminous and creative arrangements. As with the original version of the vase, this shorter model is a modern interpretation of the refined, traditional vessels used in ikebana; its name, Miyabi, which means elegance or grace in Japanese, fits it perfectly. This art form not only considers the shapes, lengths and colours of the flowers, but also ascribes aesthetic meanings to the spaces between the stems and the blooms, as well as to the surface of the water itself. The lower height of this version makes it ideal as a centrepiece on a dining table as it allows for engaging conversations and seamless interactions to take place across the table, offering an unobstructed view and a feeling of spaciousness.

The Miyabi duo can be used individually or together and offers versatility and elegance to enhance any room with its understated sophistication.

DER PERFEKTE MITTELPUNKT

Die Miyabi-Serie des japanischen Designers Kazushige Miyake, die 2020 als Designobjekt aus Keramik eingeführt wurde und wenig später auch in der hohen Version aus Edelstahl ergänzt wurde. Während sich die ursprüngliche Miyabi-Vase vor allem für die Präsentation aufrechtstehender Blumensträuße in traditioneller Weise eignet, bietet die niedrige Version eine Leinwand für voluminösere und kreative Arrangements. Wie die Originalversion der Vase ist auch dieses niedrigere Modell eine moderne Interpretation der raffinierten, traditionellen Ikebana-Gefäße. Der Name Miyabi, der auf Japanisch Eleganz oder Anmut bedeutet, passt perfekt zu ihr. Diese Kunstform berücksichtigt nicht nur die Formen, Längen und Farben der Blumen, sondern schreibt auch den Zwischenräumen zwischen den Stängeln und den Blüten, sowie der Wasseroberfläche selbst eine ästhetische Bedeutung zu. This season, blomus introduces the Dreva candlestick, the creative vision of German designer Frederike Martens, who has conceived a piece that embraces blomus' classic, minimalist design ethos, which transcends passing trends. Available in three sizes, the Dreva candlesticks invite versatility in arrangement, allowing you to curate a harmonious ensemble tailored to your space, or to use them as standalone statement pieces.

Now, blomus unveils the classic Modo collection in a perfectly nostalgic, yet entirely contemporary all-steel iteration, offering both brushed and polished versions.

Designed by German Nina Thöming, the Modo collection exudes brilliance in its utilitarian design, boasting sleek and timeless forms that effortlessly complement the aesthetic of the bathroom. With this new edition, blomus continues to enhance the bathroom experience, marrying functionality with sophisticated design for a truly timeless appeal.

Aus früheren Zeiten als Stahlhersteller beherrscht blomus noch immer die Kunst aus dem vielseitigen Material Designobjekte für den Wohnbereich zu fertigen. Die klassische Bad-Accessoires-Kollektion Modo wurde vor fünf Jahren eingeführt und hat sich seitdem mit der Einführung neuer Farben und Materialien in jeder Saison gewandelt. Jetzt präsentiert blomus die klassische Modo-Kollektion in einer perfekt nostalgischen, aber völlig zeitgemäßen Ganzstahlversion, die sowohl in gebürsteter, als auch in polierter Ausführung erhältlich ist.

Recognising this shift in perception, blomus introduces the Creto bathroom line designed by Nina Thöming, offering a range of essential accessories designed to enhance your bathroom experience. From a toilet brush to a soap dispenser and toothbrush holder, each piece is thoughtfully crafted to blend modern, minimalist style with the functionality of the classic bathroom experience. At the heart of the Creto series is a unique oval tray that gives the illusion of hovering effortlessly above any surface. This innovative design element adds a touch of sophistication while providing practical storage solutions for items such as soap or jewellery.

Crafted from concrete in subtle yet elegant colours, the Creto collection offers a choice between Lily White, Micro Chip, Magnet or Mourning Dove. A SCENT FOR EVERY SPACE

When revitalising a space, it's crucial not to underestimate the impact of scent. However, scented candles provide more than just a pleasant aroma; they serve as both a practical and a decorative addition, enhancing the ambience of your bathroom, living room or office space.

The Frabli collection by blomus is a range of candles designed to meet just this purpose. This collection has now been relaunched, featuring an even more exclusive vessel made from travertine or marble, enhancing the elegance of these candles. You can now opt for a smart and practical refill in aluminium packaging when the soy wax candle is used up.

With this reintroduction of the Frabli series comes a new addition to the line-up: Cotton Island. This delicate scent combines the floral notes of lily of the valley with a hint of lemon and undertones of white musk. The tabletop range created by Studio blomus has not only typical Japanese shapes that show the minimalist design language which fits so well with the blomus approach of designing everyday objects. It also has a fascinating – but very traditional Japanese – reactive glazing. This effect glazing comes out different with every firing, and reacts on the slightest variations of oxygen in the kiln atmosphere. Nevertheless these stoneware dishes are dishwasher and microwave safe. This semi-matt finished glaze may have dots and imperfections, may scratch, as it is a very soft surface – nevertheless it is no damage, it is just part of this sophisticated approach. This is why it is called KUMI, which takes its name from the Japanese word for eternal beauty.

Sie hat auch eine faszinierende – aber sehr traditionelle japanische – reaktive Glasur. STONEWARE

SABLO is made from coloured clay and a unique mix of quartz, minerals, oxides. Stoneware is defined as a group of ceramic products. Stoneware is used to produce plates, dishes, cachepots and bowls, moulded using special casting techniques. The high temperatures during the firing process make stoneware more stable than clay and less translucent than porcelain.

The colours, shapes, appearance of the glaze as well as the overall look depend on the firing temperature and time and may change. Each piece is surely unique and can show individual structures and shades. The clay of SABLO is fired at a very high temperature and therefore it doesn’t need to be glazed everywhere.

Stoneware tableware is dishwasher safe and can be used in a microwave oven.

STEINGUT

SABLO besteht aus einer einzigartigen Mischung aus farbigem Ton, Quarz, Mineralien wie Calcit sowie Oxiden. Aus Steingut werden Teller, Geschirr, Übertöpfe und Schalen hergestellt, die im Gießverfahren ausgeformt werden.

Die hohen Temperaturen während des Brennvorgangs machen Steingut stabiler als Ton und weniger durchscheinend als Porzellan. Die Farben, Formen, das Aussehen der Glasur sowie das Gesamtbild hängen von der Brenntemperatur und der Brenndauer ab und variieren. Dadurch ist jedes Stück ein Unikat und kann individuelle Strukturen und Schattierungen aufweisen. Der Ton von SABLO wird bei einer sehr hohen Temperatur gebrannt und muss daher nicht überall glasiert werden.

Handmade in Italy, AHWI throws are made from 70% wool production waste and carefully selected post-consumer recycled wool fibres, thus combining the highest quality with sustainable responsibility. The design of AHWI is characterised by the two-tone colour of the throws, which creates a subtle melange effect. The deliberately contrasting choice of whip stitch emphasises AHWI's design. Due to the use of post-consumer recycled wool, a small fibre content of 5% always remains, which cannot be precisely identified and is therefore labelled as other fibres.

Das Design von AHWI wird durch die Zweifarbigkeit der Decken geprägt, die einen dezenten Melangeeffekt erzeugt. Die bewusst kontrastierende Wahl des Whip Stitch hebt das Design von AHWI hervor. Aufgrund der Verwendung von Post-Verbraucher recycelter Wolle bleibt stets ein geringer Faseranteil von 5%, der nicht präzise identifiziert werden kann und daher als andere Faser ausgewiesen wird.

The art of ikebana – the gentle and mindful arranging of flowers in sculptural bouquets – is an integral part of Japanese culture, and is therefore the obvious source of inspiration for the new MIYABI vase, designed by Kazushige Miyake. The vase is offered in two shapes, originating from the same visual concept – a lower version with an interlocking grid inside, which allows for the creation of artistic arrangements to suit a variety of tastes and occasions, and a taller version with a slightly simpler construction, intended for displaying flowers in a set bouquet or even a single, specially grown branch.

EINE KOSTPROBE JAPANS MIT KAZUSHIGE MIYAKE

Die Kunst des Ikebana – das sanfte und achtsame Arrangieren von Blumen in skulpturalen Sträußen – ist ein integraler Bestandteil der japanischen Kultur und daher die offensichtliche Inspirationsquelle für die neue Vase MIYABI, entworfen von Kazushige Miyake. Die Vase wird in zwei Formen angeboten, die auf demselben visuellen Konzept beruhen – eine niedrigere Version mit einem ineinander verschiebbaren Steckgitter im Inneren, die die Gestaltung kunstvoller Arrangements für verschiedene Geschmäcker und Anlässe ermöglicht, und eine höhere Version mit einer etwas einfacheren Konstruktion, die für die Präsentation eines Straußes oder auch eines einzelnen, besonders gewachsenen Astes geeignet ist.

BACK TO THE ROOTS – STAINLESS STEEL

Stainless steel has always been a popular material that can be used in a variety of ways. The shiny surface not only exudes a certain cleanliness, but its chemical properties are also particularly hygienic and robust. Therefore, this material is often used in kitchens or bathrooms. This year, stainless steel is also reconquering the living area for itself.

But not only stainless steel in its pure form, but also in a completely new look delights us this year. Burned Metal is a new titanium coating of the stainless steel surface that suits any living area. The very dark brown captivates with its different nuances and looks either golden or shimmering black, depending on the light and the time of the day. Which makes especially decorative items a very special eye-catcher.

BACK TO THE ROOTS – EDELSTAHL

Edelstahl ist schon lange ein beliebtes Material, das vielseitig einsetzbar ist. Die glänzende Oberfläche strahlt nicht nur eine gewisse Sauberkeit aus, sondern ist auch in seinen chemischen Eigenschaften besonders hygienisch und robust. Daher wird dieses Material gerne in Küchen oder Badezimmern eingesetzt. Dieses Jahr erobert Edelstahl auch den Wohnbereich für sich zurück.

Aber nicht nur Edelstahl in seiner puren Form, sondern auch in einer ganz neuen Optik erfreut uns dieses Jahr. Burned Metal ist eine neue Titanbeschichtung der Edelstahloberfläche, die sich jedem Wohnbereich anpasst. Das sehr dunkle Braun besticht durch seine verschiedenen Nuancen und wirkt je nach Licht und Tageszeit entweder golden oder schwarz schimmernd. Was gerade dekorative Artikel zu einem ganz besonderen Hingucker macht.

ALL WE WANT FOR CHRISTMAS

The first sign that Christmas is coming is usually decorating our homes; it creates that special sense of festive cosiness and excitement, and every family has its own traditions. Last year, blomus introduced a new range of festive ornaments by designer Theresa Rand aptly named Kitai, from the Japanese word for anticipation – a small collection that perfectly encapsulates this sense of wonder.

Kitai consists of seven simple, yet elegant ornaments. The range was originally introduced as three cut-out motifs in metal with a muted brass finish and four coloured-glass ornaments that resemble delicate winter berries, each framed by a circle. This season’s iteration is identical, except for being finished in plated iron with an elegant silver matte texture. Each ornament has a satin ribbon tie, so you can hang them from your tree, use them in decorative groups as your table centrepiece or find your own special place for them: the possibilities are endless. Wherever you display them, these beautiful, light ornaments are sure to add a subtle hint of luxury and Christmas magic.

ALLES, WAS WIR UNS ZU WEIHNACHTEN WÜNSCHEN

Das erste Anzeichen, dass Weihnachten vor der Tür steht, ist meist die Dekoration zu Hause. Von ihr geht dieses besondere Gefühl festlicher Gemütlichkeit und Vorfreude aus. Letztes Jahr entwarf die Designerin Theresa Rand eine Kollektion von Ornamenten für blomus, welche den treffenden Namen Kitai (japanisch für Vorfreude) trägt und dieses Gefühl des Staunens verkörpert. Der perfekte Weg, um die Weihnachtsfreude ins Rollen zu bringen!

Kitai besteht aus 7 schlichten, aber eleganten Ornamenten. Die Kollektion wurde mit drei in unterschiedlicher Weise aus Metall geschnittenen Motiven mit mattem Brass-Finish und vier farbigen Glaskugeln, die zarten Winterbeeren ähneln und jeweils von einem Kreis umrahmt sind, vorgestellt. In dieser Saison werden ihr dieselben Ornamente mit einem elegantem mattem Silber-Finish hinzugefügt. Jede Kugel ist mit einem matten Satinband verziert, sodass Sie sie an Ihren Baum hängen, als Tischdekoration verwenden oder einen ganz besonderen Platz für sie finden können; den Möglichkeiten sind keine Grenzen gesetzt. Ganz gleich wo Sie sie dekorieren, diese wunderschönen, leichten Ornamente verleihen Ihren vier Wänden einen Hauch von Luxus und zauberhafte Weihnachtsstimmung.

Designer Theresa Rand is known for her graceful and highly feminine take on modern interior design. Educated in both her native country Germany and in Copenhagen, where she now lives and works, she has a unique understanding of both the Nordic aesthetic tradition and the German appreciation of function and quality. Her love for simple, functional yet poetic objects with a story to tell is evident in everything she designs, and her desire to create spaces with a warm and inviting feel has given her a preference for classic shapes, natural materials and subtle, elegant colours.

Die Designerin Theresa Rand ist bekannt für ihre anmutigen und stark femininen Interpretationen im modernen Interieur Design. The idea to combine scandinavian aesthetics and homey elegance is reflected in the design of KITAI Christmas ornaments by Theresa Rand. In a metallic ring hangs a delicate mouth-blown glass ball. A wonderful modern interpretation of the classic Christmas bauble. These make a wonderful harmony in 4 different shades and create Christmas atmosphere; light or candlelight is reflected and an atmospheric elegant look is created.

A variant of KITAI are the modern abstracted symbols star, circle and bell. These classic Christmas symbols seem to float in a metallic ring and create a timeless look at Christmas. Kitai means expectation, anticipation or hope in Japanese. So having KITAI in your home, a wonderful Christmas atmosphere of festive days arises on the tree and just about everywhere in the house. The natural stones are not only an aesthetic statement, but also a sign of durability and quality. The new FRABLI scented candles replace their predecessor FRABLE and add refill candles in aluminium containers and the new Cotton Island fragrance in a travertine container to the collection of our existing fragrances. This means that the marble and travertine containers with a matt finish can be used both as long-lasting scented candles and as storage containers once the candle has burnt out. The scented candles contain selected aroma compositions with a subtle and long-lasting scent and are made from soy wax. They contain no palm oil, burn with very little soot and are environmentally friendly.

The focus is also on plastic-free packaging and sustainable alternatives to protect the products during transportation. blomus avoids using mineral oil-based inks for printing sales packaging and instead uses soy print, a plant-based printing method.
