WHEN SIMPLICITY B E C OM E S P O E T RY The Makoto collection embodies the Japanese spirit of sincerity. Powerful, geometric shapes meet soft, nature-inspired surfaces to create a tableware collection that radiates calm and clarity. Made from stoneware in Portugal, the pieces feature matte glazes in warm Nordic tones. Each variation makes them unique, subtly showcasing food and floral arrangements.

CARSTEN GOLLNICK German designer Carsten Gollnick (born 1966) founded his own studio in 1997 and has since developed a clear design language that combines aesthetics and function with the rituals of everyday life. Japanese design tradition in particular influences his thinking – every object, whether large or small, has meaning and value. He has created a diverse body of work, including furniture, lighting and porcelain for international brands, as well as individual projects in close collaboration with craftsmen. Der deutsche Designer Carsten Gollnick (geb. 1966) gründete 1997 sein eigenes Studio und entwickelt seither eine klare Formensprache, die Ästhetik und Funktion mit den Ritualen des Alltags verbindet. Besonders die japanische Designtradition prägt sein Denken – jedes Objekt, ob groß oder klein, hat Bedeutung und Wert. Mit Möbeln, Leuchten und Porzellan für internationale Marken sowie individuellen Projekten in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Handwerkern, hat er ein vielseitiges Werk geschaffen.

Die Kollektion Makoto verkörpert den japanischen Geist der Aufrichtigkeit. Kraftvolle Geometrien treffen auf sanfte, naturinspirierte Oberflächen – eine Tischkultur, die Ruhe und Klarheit ausstrahlt. Gefertigt aus Steingut in Portugal, tragen matte Glasuren in nordischen Farbtönen zur Reduktion bei und machen jedes Stück zu einem Unikat. So werden Speisen und Blumenarrangements dezent und doch wirkungsvoll in Szene gesetzt.

MAKOTO STEEL – DESIGN BY CARSTEN GOLLNICK MAKOTO STEEL represents a clear, reduced approach to table culture. Designed by Carsten Gollnick, the collection combines architectural precision with a calm, understated presence. The double-walled stainless steel construction keeps beverages warm or cool for longer, creating space for mindful moments of enjoyment. The silhouettes, resting on a delicate base, appear almost to float and consistently continue the design language of the ceramic collection. A satin-matte finish and precise craftsmanship give the objects a distinctive depth – restrained in expression, yet striking in effect.

HA L ST RØM After graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Design in 2007, Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm (born 1977) founded her own design studio, which focuses primarily on furniture and smaller objects with a typically Scandinavian design. Since 2019, she has devoted most of her time to her textile art practice, which is represented by art galleries in both the United States and Denmark. Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm (geb 1977) gründete nach Abschluss der königlichen dänischen Designakademie 2007 ihr eigenes Designbüro, welches seinen Fokus überwiegend auf Möbel und kleinere Objekte legt, deren Designs typisch skandinavisch anmuten. Seit 2019 widmet sie sich hauptsächlich ihrer Textilkunst, die von Kunstgalerien in den Vereinigten Staaten und Dänemark vertreten wird.

ELEGANCE IN CONTRAST ASKA – the Swedish word for ash – is the name of the new fireplace series by Danish designer Chris L. Halstrøm. With great sensitivity, she succeeds in harmoniously combining opposites and translating them into a clear, contemporary design language. The use of matt brushed stainless steel gives the series a powerful, linear presence that exudes a certain masculinity thanks to its striking aesthetics. This is contrasted by the delicate lines and warm leather cord wrapping, which lend the design an elegant, almost sculptural lightness.

Mit viel Feingefühl gelingt es ihr, Gegensätze harmonisch zu vereinen und in eine klare, zeitgemäße Formensprache zu übersetzen. Der Einsatz von matt gebürstetem Edelstahl verleiht der Serie eine kraftvolle, geradlinige Präsenz, die durch ihre markante Ästhetik eine gewisse Maskulinität ausstrahlt. Dem gegenüber stehen die filigranen Linien und die Umwicklung mit warmen Lederschnüren, die dem Design eine elegante, beinahe skulpturale Leichtigkeit verleihen.

HALSTRØM The carefully crafted leather details of the ASKA fireplace series not only create an exciting visual contrast to the cool metal, but also fulfil a functional purpose: they ensure a pleasant feel and a secure grip, so that the elements of the fireplace series fit comfortably in the hand. The ASKA series includes a fireplace set consisting of a poker, shovel and brush, which can be used to effortlessly remove cold ashes from the fireplace. The collection is complemented by a delicate shelf that stylishly stores firewood and displays it decoratively. The series is rounded off by an ash bucket that safely collects the swept-out ashes and, thanks to its lid, allows for clean and uncomplicated disposal.

ASKA – DESIGN VON CHRIST L. HALSTRØM Die sorgfältig ausgearbeiteten Lederdetails der ASKA Kaminserie setzen nicht nur einen spannenden visuellen Kontrast zum kühlen Metall, sondern erfüllen auch eine funktionale Aufgabe: Sie sorgen für eine angenehme Haptik und einen sicheren Griff, sodass die Elemente der Kaminserie gut und komfortabel in der Hand liegen. Zur ASKA Serie gehört ein Kaminset, bestehend aus Schürhaken, Schaufel und Besen, mit dem sich erkaltete Asche mühelos aus dem Kamin entfernen lässt. Ergänzt wird die Kollektion durch ein filigranes Regal, das Kaminholz stilvoll aufbewahrt und dekorativ in Szene setzt. Available in three different sizes, the cushion covers come with a YKK zipper and are OEKOTEX®-certified. Machine washable at 30 degrees, we recommend washing the covers with similar colours inside out with the zipper closed.

A MOMENT TO PA U S E Candlelight has always created an atmosphere of tranquillity and invites us to pause for a moment. With ARO, Spanish designer Jordi López Aguiló, through his design studio kutarq studio, has translated this special mood into a series of candleholders whose flowing silhouettes appear almost weightless. They can be arranged individually or, thanks to two different heights, combined to form a playful ensemble. They lend rooms a calm, almost meditative aura and transform the act of lighting a candle into a small ritual of serenity and beauty.

K U TA R Q S T U D I O Designer Jordi López Aguiló (born 1983) is the founder of the Spanish studio kutarq, which designs lighting, rooms, furniture and various decorative objects. The focus of the design process is a methodical approach that includes not only classic material research but also thorough investigation. The result of this process are products that are characterised by innovation and in which the materials – including their texture, durability and appearance – are fundamental components of the products. The name is derived from the Japanese term Kazari, which means embellishment, ornament or decoration. KAZARY comprises various ornaments in the shape of a star, a crystal, a heart, a bell and an ellipse, each available in a set of four made of paper. These are complemented by the typical blomus satin ribbons in matching colours. With these, the ornaments can be hung at the desired height.
