Drawing reference to geological formations found at Vasquez Rocks, located in the Sierra Pelona Mountains of northern Los Angeles, the Vasquez Collection takes its motif and material expression from the namesake sandstone formations that were formed by uplift activity along the San Andreas Fault.
Heavily grained oak is joined traditionally to frame a mosaic patchwork of geometric forms, expressed in rugged Sinai Pearl Marble. A combination of concealed push to open and brass hardware keep the natural expression true while the three board construction and through joint details recall the robust framing of agricultural buildings that stipple the nearby foothills.
