FROM DESIGN TO DRIVE

THE BLACK AUTOMOTIVE DESIGNER WHO MADE HISTORY AT FORD

Known as one of the most dangerous endurance races in the world, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is a testing ground for the highestgrade race cars. From 1960 to 1965, Ferrari held a six-year winning streak Ford was determined to end with the GT40. This highperformance mid-engine race car was built with one goal in mind: to win at Le Mans. With sheer speed and endurance, this car led Ford to victory in 1966. Thanks to the concept sketches by McKinley Thompson, Jr., the GT40 became a reality. As the first African American car designer to work at Ford, Thompson’s groundbreaking designs helped usher in some of the most historically significant vehicles by that manufacturer.

Born on November 8, 1922, in Queens, New York, Thompson showed an avid interest in cars at a young age. One day, around age 12, he walked down his sidewalk as the clouds in the sky began to break. As the sun glistened on the street, he saw a sleek silver DeSoto Airflow car drive by. Thompson was in awe and felt like there was a spotlight on the car. He began to run towards it, and as it drove off, Thompson realized he wanted to become an automobile designer. During Thompson’s years at Murray Hill High School, he took commercial art classes, where his drawing abilities

greatly improved. By the time Thompson graduated high school in 1940, he had finished drafting courses that taught him how to express his projects through concept drawings and illustrations.

In the following year, 1941, Thompson enlisted in the United States Army. During World War II, he served in the Army Signal Corps, where he worked as an engineering layout coordinator. After the war ended, Thompson started a family and worked for the Army Signal Corps but remained passionate about car design.

In 1953, Thompson found an opportunity to put his passion to the test. It was a four-year scholarship competition for the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, known as one of the most distinguished industrial design schools. This opportunity was called From Dream to Drawing Board and was hosted by Motor Trend magazine. Thompson’s submission was a turbine car with a reinforced plastic body, which was popular in the post-war era. His design won the contest, and afterwards, he enrolled at the college’s transportation design department. In doing so, he became the first African American to attend the school and earned a degree in transportation design in 1956.

Later that year, Thompson was hired to work for the Ford Motor Company and made history as the first African American automotive designer there. He saw his childhood dream become a reality. Off the bat, Thompson helped design iconic cars like the Mustang, the GT40, and the first-generation Bronco. One of his more radical designs was the Ford Gyron, which was revealed at the 1961 Detroit Auto Show. The car was a futuristic two-wheeled vehicle stabilized by gyroscopes. Despite its unique look, the car was only built for research and marketing

purposes. All of his hard work would pay off, as Thompson received the Citizen of the Year award from the mayor of Detroit in 1962.

McKinley Thompson, Jr., was a man who followed his dreams and made history along the way. While Thompson had no Black role models to look towards in the automotive industry, he now inspires others. He broke through racial barriers in the automotive design world, and his drawings are timeless classics still studied by designers today.

THE RISE ofLuca

IN THE EVER-EVOLVING LANDSCAPE OF CONTEMPORARY ART, FEW NAMES RESONATE AS DYNAMICALLY AS LUCA GOLY.

Art is more than just a visual experience; it is a vessel for culture, history, and innovation. Few artists embody this ethos as seamlessly as Luca, a Brooklyn-based creative whose meteoric rise in the art world is nothing short of inspiring. At 37, Luca has carved a niche for himself by blending tradition with modernity, earning acclaim for his dynamic contributions to fine art, digital media, and interior design.

Luca’s journey began in 2021, a pivotal year that saw his artistic aspirations transform into reality. With a clear vision and relentless dedication, he secured his first residency at 190 Bowery—a coveted milestone for emerging creatives. This opportunity provided him with a platform to showcase his unique perspective, setting the stage for his rapid ascent in the art scene. Not long after, Luca’s ingenuity led him to the Bitcoin Center, where he assumed the role of Creative Director. In this position, he merged art with blockchain technology, establishing a space where digital innovation and artistic expression could coexist.

His ability to blend contemporary themes with cultural narratives caught the attention of major organizations, leading to a series of high-profile collaborations. In one of his most remarkable projects, Luca was commissioned to create the 25th-anniversary art for The Lion King on Broadway. This opportunity not only showcased his artistic prowess but also reinforced his connection to storytelling and cultural legacy.

By 2022, Luca’s influence extended beyond the traditional art world and into the burgeoning NFT space. He made a significant impact at Art Basel Miami, where his work was celebrated and sold at the Bitcoin Conference. This venture solidified his role as an artist, unafraid to explore new mediums and push the boundaries of artistic expression.

His growing reputation led to opportunities with high-profile figures in the music and entertainment industry. In 2023, he curated exhibitions for cultural icons like Kanye West and played a supporting role in the debut performance of North West, further cementing his status as a tastemaker in the industry. His work in curation allowed him to bridge the gap between art, music, and pop culture, reinforcing his ability to create immersive experiences that resonate with audiences across different creative fields.

Currently, Luca is channeling his artistic expertise into interior design, particularly for licensed dispensaries in Brooklyn. With New York City embracing cannabis culture through legal dispensaries, Luca sees an opportunity to craft unique, aesthetically compelling spaces that blend art with commerce. His design philosophy focuses on creating environments that feel inviting and visually inspiring, setting a new standard for dispensary aesthetics.

With an ambitious vision for the future, Luca plans to expand his interior design work beyond Brooklyn and into other parts of New York City. His ability to adapt and innovate in different creative arenas has set him apart, positioning him as a multifaceted artist whose influence will continue to grow.

Through his artistic journey, Luca has proven that creativity knows no bounds. Whether through fine art, digital landscapes, or spatial design, he continues to push the envelope, ensuring that culture remains at the heart of his work. As Brooklyn’s art scene flourishes, Luca stands at the forefront, shaping the cultural narrative and redefining what it means to be an artist in the modern era.

TREKKING SCOTLAND’S West Highland Way

A BRAND-NEW ITINERARY FROM WILDERNESS SCOTLAND IS STEPPING OUT THIS SPRING.

The West Highland Way is one of Scotland's most iconic walking trails, winding its way from Milngavie in the south to Fort William in the north through moors, woodlands, and mountain foothills. Although the route is well-trodden, Wilderness Scotland will soon launch a tour allowing travelers to experience the trip in a different way—specifically, in a luxurious way.

The West Highland Way trail is about 96 miles, but travelers on this 10-day itinerary, the Highlights of the West Highland Way tour, will only walk some of the highlights—a grand total of about 35 miles. Expect some car and ferry transfers on your route, but don’t expect camping! This is a luxury walking itinerary for a reason, and you’ll be kicking your feet up every night in accommodations that fit the ethos of the trip, from a mansion on the banks of Loch Lomond to a country home near Glenfinnan Monument.

Here’s a preview of what you can expect to see on the trip, which begins and ends with stops in Glasgow.

GLENGOYNE DISTILLERY

You’ll walk here from Milngavie, toasting your day with a tour of the distillery and a tasting of their slow-distilled malt whisky. The distillery is historic; it’s been in operation since 1833, and the process for making the whisky is almost identical to how it first began. Each cask takes six years to prepare.

CONIC HILL

On the eastern edge of Loch Lomond, Conic Hill spikes up into the sky about 1,184 feet, with the top marked by a small cairn. The walk is a gradual but steep ascent, leading to a wide-open view of several islands and the waters of the loch.

ROB ROY’S CAVE

You may know this character from Sir Walter Scott’s novel, “Rob Roy,” but the man was more than just myth and legend. Rob Roy MacGregor was a Scottish outlaw-turned-folk hero who lived from 1671 to 1743. When his family was evicted from their home in the early 1700s, Roy turned to cattle theft for revenge. He fought in the 1715 Jacobite rising, adding treason to his list of charges. Near Inversnaid, there’s a rocky cave where Roy supposedly hid out to evade capture after the rising. You’ll visit it on Day 4 of the trip.

THE DEVIL’S STAIRCASE

Don’t worry—it’s not as bad as it sounds. The path zig-zags slowly up the ascent, which was once a dirt path used to take cattle from pasture to market. It became a road in 1752 when two English generals wanted an easier way to deploy troops to watch over the highlanders. Those 18th-century soldiers nicknamed this particular path The Devil’s Staircase because of the hard work it took to pull a gun carriage up to the top.

GLENCOE VALLEY

This steep-sided rocky valley is known for waterfalls, epic hikes, and rock climbing. Glencoe, the village, is in the valley. Travelers will explore an eco-friendly visitor center before hiking around. You may recognize some of these natural vistas from movies; in Skyfall, James Bond’s family home is here in Glencoe. In town, guests on the tour will be able to speak to a local climber at a traditional climbers’ pub, who will explain all the folktales surrounding the area—think dragons, fairies, witches, and ghosts.

GLENFINNAN MONUMENT

On the edge of Loch Shiel, a stone tower marks the spot where the Jacobite rising began in 1745. It was here that more than 1,200 highlanders pledged fealty to Prince Charles Edward Stuart, a man they believed was the rightful heir to the British throne. Scottish history buffs know that this ended in tragedy during the Battle of Culloden in 1746 when the prince fled to France, and highlanders were ruthlessly murdered for following what the English considered to be the wrong leader.

STEALL FALLS

Reaching just over 390 feet tall, Steall Falls, also known as An Steall Bàn (which means “the white spout”), is the second-highest waterfall in Scotland. It’s close to Ben Nevis, Scotland’s tallest mountain. Trails up to the waterfall are well-maintained but have steep edges at some points, so just try to stay in the middle of the path. You’ll probably recognize this location as well if you’re a movie buff, as it was a filming location for the Harry Potter movies.

KENNY PEETS, A Caribbean native and a golf pro at The Buccaneer Resort on St. Croix, a US Virgin Island, doesn’t like to talk much, but the framed letter on the wall of his office speaks volumes. Signed by President Biden, it reads, “Thank you for your hospitality you showed my grandson and me while we golfed at the Buccaneer.”

Joe Biden is one of many luminaries Peets has seen here. Michael Jackson enjoyed staying here, too. So did baseball legend George Kenneth Griffey, Sr., and basketball great Artis Gilmore. Many celebrities favor St. Croix, and The Buccaneer in particular, for its unique mix of Mediterranean charm and Caribbean spirit.

In the 1600s, St. Croix was owned by the Knights of Malta, who constructed Mediterranean-looking homes amongst the island’s green hills. The Buccaneer was built in that style—with rounded archways, ornate columns and stucco fountains. Even today, parts of St. Croix resemble Sicily or Greece—and you don’t need a passport to get there from the US. Here’s how to explore this under-the-radar Caribbean jewel.

YOU CAN CHECK OUT ANY TIME, BUT YOU CAN NEVER LEAVE

Spoiler alert: once you check in at The Buccaneer, you won’t want to leave. Just to explore its luxurious 340 acres and three beaches—family fun Mermaid and intimate Grotto and Whistle—takes several days. Prepare for tough dining decisions between three different restaurants: laid-back beachfront The Mermaid, serving lunch and dinner with fire dancers’ performances on some nights; The Terrace, offering a lavish breakfast and an elegant dinner; and Beauregard's on the Beach, which dishes out the freshest sushi and specialty tacos.

Always keep your phones handy—wildlife literally poses for pictures: pelicans land on the sand hunting for crabs, cute green frogs climb walls and trees, iguanas sashay outside your rooms, and herds of deer graze on the golf course at night.

VENTURE OUT TO TOWN

The town of Christiansted is worth a visit, whether you’re in a shopping, drinking or connoisseur mood—and the hotel can provide transportation. Several stores sell unique St. Croix jewelry. One is the signature Crucian hook jewelry with a distinctive horseshoe-shaped clasp that’s viewed as the symbol of true love. The other is the so-called “chaney,” made from pieces of broken Dutch pottery washed up or unearthed from soil, dating back to when the island belonged to the Dutch. Wearing chaney pendants, earrings or bracelets is like wearing history— and no two pieces are the same.

While there, savor some bites at Estera, a high-end eatery with creative cocktails and an artisanal menu that manages to fuse together the best of the world’s cuisines— think jägerschnitzel, a schnitzel with creamy mushroom sauce, or orzotto, risotto’s cousin made with orzo pasta. Every dish here looks like a work of art and tastes like one, too.

Stop for a tasting at Munity Island Vodka distillery. Named after the famous revolt— Mutiny on the H.M.S Bounty—it’s distilled from breadfruit, the very cargo the ill-fated boat was carrying. The vodkas, which come in various flavors, including hibiscus/passion fruit, ginger/turmeric and Puerto Rican coffee, are immensely popular on the island and beyond.

SEE MARINE CREATURES GLOW IN THE DARK

In addition to snorkeling and scuba diving, St. Croix travelers can experience nighttime kayaking in a bioluminescent bay. With guided Sea Thru Kayaks VI tours, you can paddle in complete darkness to Salt River Bay, where surrounding mangrove forests create a perfect environment for several species of tiny marine organisms that glow in the dark. To enjoy bioluminescence to the fullest, kayaks have transparent bottoms. As you paddle, glide or even simply splash your hand in the water, the creatures respond by emitting brief flashes of light. Your activity is also likely to stir another animal—flying fish that jump out of the water and glide over the surface.

Whether you’re a golfer, foodie or nature lover, you’ll find something to do on this under-the-radar island gem.

Abraham D. Juste, professionally known as Da’Vinchi, is more than a rising star on television—he’s a man walking in his purpose, fueled by an unwavering relationship with God. Best known for his magnetic portrayal of Terry “Southwest T” Flenory on Starz’s hit crime drama BMF, Da’Vinchi is cementing himself as a powerful presence on and off the screen. But behind the fame lies a young man with a story of spiritual transformation, cultural pride, and relentless ambition.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Haitian roots, Da’Vinchi’s earliest influences weren’t agents or auditions—they were his family, especially his grandmother, who raised him speaking French and Creole. “I take a lot of pride in being Haitian,” he says. “We were the first to gain our independence. One of the most profound revolutions in the history of the world.” He thinks his Haitian roots and the revolutionary history of his nation allow him to carry that strength across his daily life and career.

Yet his childhood wasn’t without turbulence. Getting into trouble in the streets of New York eventually led him to live with his father in Citrus County, Florida, which was a huge cultural shift for him. It was in Florida—among unfamiliar communities and new social codes—that Da’Vinchi developed the adaptability that would later serve him in Hollywood. “It opened my mind to how different people are, how they communicate. That helped me become a better actor and person and taught me how to navigate adversity.”

FROM NFL DREAMS TO GOD’S PLAN

Like many young men, Da’Vinchi once believed he was destined for the NFL. But fate had other plans. He and his brothers would act out scenes from films like Blade, unknowingly preparing him for the screen. “We grew up in the arts and sports. I thought football was it, but God had a different path.”

While in college, he dabbled in music, which eventually led to a friend recommending acting classes to improve his stage presence. What started as a means to an end became a calling. He was hooked. Under the guidance of veteran actor Marc John Jeffries, Da’Vinchi honed his craft and eventually met rapper Lil Mama, who introduced him to her manager in Los Angeles. That connection opened the door to representation, and the rest is history.

HOLLYWOOD BREAKTHROUGHS

Da’Vinchi’s TV debut came in 2018 on Marvel’s Jessica Jones—a thrill that also came with growing pains. “It was scary. A new level of exposure. But it pushed me to step up,” he recalls. He soon landed a recurring role on Grown-ish as Cash Mooney, the breakout moment that had fans recognizing him on the streets. “That whole process was nothing but the grace of God.”

His decision to move to LA was a leap of faith—literally. “I told everyone God was telling me to move. They said LA only messes with big names. But I booked a flight, and that same week, I booked Grown-ish. I was couch surfing, but I knew I was where I was meant to be.”

Today, Da’Vinchi is notoriously recognized for his role as Southwest T on BMF, a gritty series chronicling the real-life Black Mafia Family. The show skyrocketed him into the limelight, proving his ability to tackle complex, real-world characters with depth and presence. He shared with us that stepping into this role was pretty simple since he was able to act on what he grew up with. He mentions that the characters on BMF are like the kids he saw within his community in Brooklyn, and that made it easier for him to step into this role.

FAITH ABOVE ALL

For Da’Vinchi, his growing success is not a matter of luck—it’s divine design. “I would tell other actors: get your spirit right. Do the work on yourself first. Read the Bible. Know your soul before chasing roles,” he says.

He credits his relationship with God as the foundation for everything. “I started studying people’s lives, reading scripture, and getting my mind and heart aligned. Once I did that, I knew what I wanted to do. And I knew it was possible.”

“We’re just stewards of the blessings. This favor is not for us to use for our own fleshy purposes—it’s for God’s will.” — Da’Vinchi

Whether he’s quoting scripture or discussing his heritage, Da’Vinchi approaches life with reverence, purpose, and clarity. He believes that when you surrender to purpose, success follows—not the other way around. “Every skill and gift we have is from God. Steward it right, and it will come back tenfold.”

With BMF continuing to thrive and more roles undoubtedly in the pipeline, Da’Vinchi is just gearing up and getting started. But no matter how high he climbs, he keeps one thing clear: “It’s not about fame. It’s about purpose. I’m just doing what God told me to do.” As he continues to keep God at the forefront of his success and the reason for his growth through the film business, he shows that his devotion and loyalty have been the cause and root of all we are witnessing him accomplish today.

JOURNEY JASON LEE’S

FROM MEDIA MAVERICK TO POLITICAL POWERHOUSE Words By Nino Reyes

JASON LEE IS no stranger to transformation. A seasoned entrepreneur, media mogul, and now a community leader, Lee has made waves in entertainment and cultural commentary, and in 2024, he extended his influence into politics. As the CEO and founder of Hollywood Unlocked, he revolutionized celebrity journalism by giving an unfiltered voice to the culture. Now, as the Vice Mayor and Councilmember of Stockton, California’s District 6, he’s using that same fearless energy to enact real change. Lee’s journey from pop culture to political power is a testament to resilience, vision, and a deep-rooted passion for community advocacy.

“ I had to endure a lot, but it made me resilient. It taught me to work well under pressure,”

BUILDING A MEDIA EMPIRE

In 2015, Jason Lee founded Hollywood Unlocked, a platform that quickly became one of the most influential voices in entertainment and pop culture. “I saw the boom of social media and the blogs, and I felt like many of these brands were missing a true representation of our culture,” Lee explained. “I wanted to change that, so that’s when I created Hollywood Unlocked because it was like unlocking Hollywood from the inside.”

Lee’s ability to navigate the media landscape was sharpened by years of experience and an intimate understanding of the disparities Blackowned media faced. He recounted witnessing the different treatment Black media received at red-carpet events and industry gatherings. These experiences fueled his determination to push forward and redefine the space for underrepresented voices. With high-profile friendships, including Floyd Mayweather and Cardi B, Lee leveraged his industry relationships to elevate Hollywood Unlocked into a major media powerhouse.

A JOURNEY OF RESILIENCE

Lee’s path to success was anything but easy. Growing up, he faced profound challenges, including a mother battling addiction, time in foster care, and the tragic murder of his brother. “I had to endure a lot, but it made me resilient. It taught me to work well under pressure,” he shared. These hardships not only shaped his relentless work ethic but also instilled in him a commitment to advocacy—a passion that would later become the foundation of his political career.

Before launching Hollywood Unlocked, Lee was a union leader, advocating for workers’ rights and mobilizing people for change. “I love advocacy, I love community, and I love the idea of building up communities,” he said. “So I thought, let me take those skills and apply them to building a brand that speaks to the world.” His ability to craft compelling messages and lead movements translated seamlessly into his work in media and now into public service.

ENTERING POLITICS: A CALL TO ACTION

Despite his passion for community, politics was not initially on Lee’s radar. However, a tragic incident at his former school changed everything. When a 15-year-old girl named Alycia ‘Lala’ Reynaga was murdered by an intruder at the school where he once worked and graduated from, he was struck by the lack of leadership and accountability in addressing the issue. “The students were being silenced. Leaders were trying to fight me on speaking out, and I couldn’t understand why,” he recalled. That moment became his call to action, propelling him into public service.

This led Lee to launch his campaign for Stockton City Council’s District 6, a diverse community grappling with economic disparities, public safety concerns, and limited youth opportunities. Running on a platform of transformative leadership, he focused on addressing these challenges head-on, advocating for safer neighborhoods, economic

empowerment, and increased investment in youth programs. His campaign struck a chord with voters, and his leadership skills—honed from years in media and advocacy—resonated deeply. Today, as Vice Mayor and Councilmember, he’s working to bring real solutions to his community while still traveling frequently between Stockton and Los Angeles.

NAVIGATING POLITICS THROUGH THE LENS OF POP CULTURE

Lee recognizes the growing intersection between pop culture and politics, a shift that has redefined how people engage with social issues. “Pop culture today drives politics and major decisions—this is one of the changes we’re seeing in society,” he noted. His ability to connect with diverse audiences, from social media followers to policymakers, gives him a unique advantage in bridging gaps between entertainment, media, and governance.

His experience in media also underscores the importance of storytelling in shaping public discourse. Whether amplifying voices through Hollywood Unlocked or advocating for policies in Stockton, Lee’s approach remains rooted in authenticity and boldness. His ability to navigate different spaces—from red carpets to city council meetings— demonstrates a rare versatility that sets him apart as a leader.

EMPOWERING THE NEXT GENERATION

Beyond his personal success, Lee is committed to empowering others. He emphasizes the importance of mentorship, strategic branding, and resilience in building a career. For aspiring media entrepreneurs, he offers a comprehensive guide through Media Millionaires Unlocked, an online course designed to provide a step-by-step blueprint for creating a successful brand. “I’ve been working on my brand for nine years, and I’ve learned so much. Now, I’m ready to share that insight with others,” he explained.

Lee also stresses the importance of assembling the right team. “Having a great team is crucial, but also having friends who see you, understand your impact, and choose to be supportive is just as important,” he said. His own journey is a testament to the power of relationships, determination, and a clear vision.

A LASTING LEGACY

From breaking barriers in Black-owned media to becoming a transformative leader in politics, Jason Lee’s impact is undeniable. His ability to adapt, innovate, and lead with purpose has positioned him as a dynamic force across multiple industries. As he continues his work in public service, media, and advocacy, his story serves as an inspiration to those looking to challenge norms and create lasting change. Jason Lee is not just a media mogul or a politician—he is a visionary leader reshaping industries and communities alike.

HOW TO OVERCOME

INFIDELITY

AND HEAL INDIVIDUALLY OR AS A COUPLE Words By Liz Talago

THERE'S NO ONE right way to heal from infidelity, but Rula shares tips that can help you move forward.

Infidelity, otherwise known as cheating or having an affair, is more common than you might think and can take many forms. However, each couple gets to decide what infidelity means in their relationship.

If you're dealing with the impact of infidelity, know that healing is possible. While there's no set timeline for overcoming infidelity, it typically requires open communication, acknowledging the pain that's occurred, and giving each other time to process emotions.

Couples therapy can help you and your partner uncover why the infidelity happened and address the relationship dynamics that may have contributed to a loss of trust. Additionally, individual therapy can help you process the emotional trauma of infidelity and help you choose the best path forward.

Most people see infidelity or cheating as having no place in a healthy, long-term relationship. But despite these attitudes, it's incredibly common. According to national surveys, approximately 15% of women and 25% of men admit to engaging in sexual activity outside of their committed partnership. When we account for emotional affairs without a sexual component, those rates increase by 20%.

So if you're one of the many people whose relationship has been impacted by

infidelity, know that you're not alone and help is available. Infidelity is one of the primary reasons that couples seek therapy. But whether you seek to heal from a breach of trust as a couple or on your own, know that you can overcome the pain of infidelity and repair your ability to trust.

WHAT IS INFIDELITY?

When you hear the term "infidelity," what do you think of? For most people, it calls to mind images of cheating or sexual liaisons outside of a committed partnership. But the truth is that infidelity can take many forms, and cheating isn't limited to sexual affairs. Each couple gets to define the rules that govern their relationship. What counts as infidelity in one couple might not be viewed the same way by others.

For example, some people might view flirting, texting, or other online interactions as cheating. But others may view sexual activity as the only type of infidelity that could violate trust. It's also important to note that, for some people, emotional affairs can be more damaging than sexual ones. This might include sharing deep, personal information and cultivating non-sexual intimacy with a person who isn't your partner.

HOW TO HEAL FROM INFIDELITY

There are many ways to overcome infidelity. For some couples, a serious breach of trust may prompt the end of their relationship.

Other couples may choose to work together with a shared desire to repair their connection. But whether you embark on this journey individually or as a couple, know that you can heal from infidelity with the right support.

If you're feeling lost or unsure what to do next, give yourself time for self-care and to process your emotions. Then, consider using the following steps as you think about what's next for you and your relationship.

Acknowledge the pain. The early days and weeks after an infidelity disclosure can leave you feeling heartbroken, angry, and betrayed. Your emotions may vary from one moment to another, and that's completely normal. Remember, this isn't a linear process, and you deserve whatever time and space you need to acknowledge your pain and grieve the loss of trust you've experienced.

Communicate openly about the betrayal. If you've experienced infidelity in your relationship, you might wish you could just press a "reset" button and go back to the way things used to be. But experts say that attempting to push difficult emotions under the rug in an attempt to return to normalcy could cause further damage to the relationship. Instead, both partners need to communicate openly and honestly about the betrayal and their wishes for the future. Decide on a path forward together or separately. People respond to infidelity in different ways, and many factors can shape your desire to stay together or separate. You

get to decide what is ultimately best for you and your mental health. But if you and your partner decide to stay together and work toward healing, it must be a joint effort. Keep in mind that it may take you some time to make a decision, and that's OK.

Consider therapy. Many people find that it's helpful to work with a therapist to process the pain of infidelity and repair their ability to trust. You can do this either in couples counseling, individual counseling, or with a combination of both.

HOW COUPLES THERAPY CAN SUPPORT HEALING AFTER INFIDELITY

Research shows that therapy can help couples work through infidelity, stay together, and even improve their relationship. While the process can vary from one couple to the next, a couples therapist can help you and your partner address three important aspects of overcoming infidelity.

A COUPLES THERAPIST CAN HELP YOU

Identify the underlying reasons the infidelity occurred. Most of the time, infidelity is a symptom of a deeper concern that you must address for lasting healing to occur. A therapist can help you and your partner explore why the infidelity happened and create a plan to work through those dynamics individually or as a couple. These might include addressing things like emotional trauma, a fear of abandonment, attachment issues, negative past experiences, retaliation for past hurts, or low self-esteem. Increase your understanding of the relationship dynamics that need to change.

Affairs don't usually happen in a vacuum, and each person must be willing to acknowledge what role they had in contributing to a loss of closeness and trust. A therapist can help you and your partner understand the interpersonal dynamics you need to shift if you wish to stay together. Work together toward a mutual resolution. If the choice is to remain together, you and your partner both need to take an active role in the therapeutic process. But to get to that point, you'll both need to reflect on why you want to remain in the relationship, what you want your relationship to look like in the future, and what you both need to move forward.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL FROM INFIDELITY?

When it comes to healing from infidelity, there's no set timeline for recovery. Infidelity can cause a significant loss of trust that may take a long time to process.

Remember, your healing journey is your own. Whether you decide to stay with your partner or end the relationship, be patient with yourself throughout this experience, and remember that healing is hard work. Try to channel some selfcompassion, and know that you are not defined by your relationships.

And if you need some extra help, don't hesitate to reach out to a mental health professional for individual therapy. Sometimes, infidelity can lead to relationship trauma that can be difficult to overcome on your own. But by working with a therapist, you can address the effects of infidelity, repair your ability to trust, and overcome the trauma of betrayal.

Jason George

JASON GEORGE ON HAMPTON ROADS’ INFLUENCE, HOLLYWOOD’S SECRET SAUCE, AND HIS RETURN TO ‘GREY'S ANATOMY’ Words

JASON GEORGE IS the definition of longevity in Hollywood. With a career spanning decades, he’s been a part of comedy classics, bingeable dramas, film-lover favorites, and so many more. Ask a friend to name their favorite Jason George project and the answer could vary to so many cultural staples.

Known for his charisma both on and off screen, George has built a reputation not just as a talented actor but also as a professional who brings authenticity and heart to every role he takes on. BLEU sat down with the Virginia Beach native to talk about his career journey, love for storytelling, how real-life experiences find their way into his work, and of course, his return to the beloved Shondaland series, Grey’s Anatomy. Check it out below!

BLEU: First, I have to let you know when I was doing my research, I was super excited to learn you grew up in Virginia Beach. So as a fellow Virginian I have to ask, what was it like pursuing a career in the arts, coming from our area? Because let’s be honest, it’s no LA or New York.

Jason George: Oh yeah, 757 in the house! My whole family is there. My father and all my best friends were Navy. They were from the Naval Academy, Virginia Military Institute, Virginia Tech ROTC, and then there was me—the actor boy going to UVA. They didn’t know what to do with me. Plus, I went to grad school in Philly—so I’m all over the East Coast.

But the thing about VA Beach is it’s a beach town with the biggest naval base in the world. So it brings people from all over the country, all over the world. That brings a lot of different kinds of cultures, vibes, and styles. Mark Ruffalo and Pharell are from out there. There’s no one way to do anything. I mean, it's still the South, so it’s possible to only stay in your lane if you choose to, but if you’re willing to look outside of it, you can find a lot of things that may inspire you.

BLEU: Yes, 757 is like a hidden gem. It holds a special place in my heart. Now, let’s talk about your career journey. You’ve had such a consistent career and the unique opportunity to be a part of such different projects over the years. I’m sure I speak for a lot of creatives when I say that’s very coveted. What’s your secret sauce?

Jason George: Consistency is the most beautiful thing in the world when it comes to this industry. First off, I discovered acting when I was at UVA. Then I went to grad school so I could really understand the craft of it, beginning to end. Secondly, my mom raised me to not be a jerk. You would be surprised how much that is an added bonus. There are a lot of people who can play characters and anticipate what the director wants. But can you do all that and make the set a better place?

Can you do all that and make it actually an enjoyable place for people to come to work? I grew up with the attitude of wherever you are, make it better when you leave.

Throwing it back to Virginia Beach, I think of Pharrell’s music; he can get gully, but then he's also a skater boy. That, to me, is very Virginia Beach. I can flip it a few different ways. I can do comedy and drama. It’s just my hustle mentality; I'm always gonna have a couple things going at once. Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey, Grey’s Anatomy) always cracks me up because she's like, you stay employed, and you keep two jobs at once. And she’s right. I've had at least two jobs at a time since I was 11 years old. I was a paperboy, and I was working at the Tidewater Tides, the farm League for the Mets. I had that job from 11 to 21. I always want to have as many different things going on as possible because it feeds me as a person—feeds me creatively. And I've been broke; I don't like that.

BLEU: You mentioned Chandra Wilson, and of course, we gotta get into Grey's Anatomy. Dr. Ben is such a complex character. You never know what he’s going to do. Is he going to be a firefighter or in medicine? It sounds like you connect with that. Is that true, and can you expound on that?

Jason George: 100% I connect with that. They started pulling parts of me into Ben a while ago—some that were already in Ben but also happened to be in me. They didn’t really know it at the time. But some of Ben’s daredevil aspects—that’s me.

You know, when you’ve got an itch, you gotta scratch it. For me, it was always about hustling. I can find a way to be interested in almost any job. That baseball park job? Still, to this day, one of my favorite jobs— probably over half my acting jobs. There were dudes in medical school, law school, and guys who made most of their living there, working hand to mouth. Having that balance, all in one place, was eye-opening for a teenager. I was like, I’m gonna pull your work ethic. I’m gonna use this to get to the next thing.

It was always about finding joy in whatever I was doing. For Ben, he knew what he needed out of each job. At first, medicine was just about money. Then Bailey inspired him to go back to school—to be the person reaching in and saving lives. Then he discovered he wanted to be at Ground Zero, where people got hurt, helping them before they reached the hospital.

But then he kept running into a line he couldn’t cross. We talked about it—I grew up on the other side of that line. That’s what I do. So now, he’s done what he can at the front lines, and he’s realizing, I need to go back, finish the job, and get them to the other side. His journey is part of what impaired me to want to direct again.

BLEU: That’s exciting! What are you thinking about directing?

Jason George: I have this short film idea that’s been itching in my brain, and I just can’t let it go. I directed a few episodes of Station 19, and I’ve been whispering in Debbie Allen’s ear, shadowing her, trying to see if I can get a shot at Grey’s—that kind of thing. But I’m passionate because I love good stories, right? It’s not even about being the one in charge. I have no problem laying back in the cut. But if I am the person in charge? Yeah, we’re gonna run. We’re gonna do it a certain way. We’re gonna get it done.

BLEU: So I understand all of that personally. But is it ever difficult acting-wise? A lot of actors get to know their characters inside and out and predict their next moves. But we never really know what Ben is going to do. Is that ever challenging? Talk to me about that experience professionally.

Jason George: I dig it. I mean, look, the thing about doing a TV series versus a movie or a limited series is that with a movie or limited series, you know the beginning, middle, and end. You can really block out the story, create an arc for the character, and set everything up nicely. You can plan.

But with a TV series, you get surprised. You’ve been playing a character for three years, and then suddenly, you find out that when he was a teenager, he put a kid in the hospital messing around in cars. And that kid’s been brain-dead for decades. That’s life-changing. Now you have to figure out how to incorporate that. You start running back tape in your mind, thinking, Does that work with everything I’ve done so far? Does it play?

The writers are usually good at making sure it all scans on paper. But as an actor, you have to go back and ask, Does this conflict with anything I’ve done before? Most of the time, it doesn’t, so you just layer it in. But that’s the fun part—you’re years into the role, and then you get hit with a surprise. That’s a great challenge.

BLEU: So you enjoy the longevity of the show? You’ve been on it for a while, plus Station 19 as a spin-off. Do you like that your role has had such a long run? Is that something you enjoy?

Jason George: Yeah, I do. I mean look, the question is always, can they find a new story? Can they find something that's worth telling? And when we talked about me coming from Station 19 back to Grey's Anatomy, that was the conversation I had with Meg Marin, our showrunner right now. And she had some great ideas. So I was like, I’m in.

BLEU: I want to shift gears a little because I always love talking about love and relationships. We love hearing about your marriage and family. I’m curious—have you ever drawn personal inspiration for the show? Or vice versa, has anything from Miranda’s character given you a nugget to take home? Anything like that you can share?

Jason George: One of the most fun things to play with Chandra Wilson is when Ben and Bailey bicker or straight-up fight. I tell friends when they get married, everybody gives you all this flowery advice about romance and love. And I’m like, That’s all real. Take all of that advice. But imma give you brass tacks. Fight fair. If you never have an argument or a fight with the person you’re in love with, somebody’s not being honest.

Remember, we’re trying to solve a problem. I’m not trying to beat you, right? Remember, we’re trying to solve a problem. Her problem might be how I said it, and my problem might be what’s going on. And remember that those are two different problems around the same issue, so you can solve them in different ways.

And here’s the last piece of that I’ll say—know when you need to call a timeout. People don’t know when to take a break. People get in

that argument, and then they start saying stuff that you can’t take back. I’m not into BDSM, but I remember doing this one episode, this one show, where they had a thing called a safe word. Make a safe word for yourselves as a couple. And when you say it, it’s also a reminder: Yo, we got too hot. Yeah, yeah. I mean, like—this is about to—this—it’s not that deep, right?

Are we really gonna—are we really gonna break up this marriage over you left the toilet seat up? Are we really gonna break up this marriage over you didn’t turn off the light? Yes, we’re fighting about this. So, you know—take a timeout. Everybody breathe.

BLEU: Can we talk a little bit about your other passion? You’ve done a lot of work around gun safety. I'm curious, when did that start? Was there a certain story or situation that brought you into that work, and what can we do as humans to better the fight?

Jason George: A lot of people who are most involved in this fight have had something horrific happen to someone in their immediate family. For me, I lost my cousin to gun violence. He was shot and killed. They never found the person who murdered him. But even that was a slow burn because they wanted to frame it a certain way. They wanted to say he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, that he was involved in something, so you don’t immediately categorize it as gun violence in your brain—at least not then.

And then the school shootings started happening. And then you start realizing—why aren’t we doing more? Because we could be doing so much more. We keep asking the question: What more could we be doing? Somebody should do something. And, you know, to quote Jesse Jackson, you realize, I am somebody, right? The more we all speak up—especially gun owners—the more things will change. Because the reality is most gun owners are law-abiding citizens who actually want universal background checks, right? Who believe that red flag laws make sense.

Red flag laws are for people who have been convicted or credibly accused of abusing their spouse. If someone is trying to leave an abusive situation, maybe their abuser should lose access to their guns—at least temporarily. When there are shootings at festivals or when people are in the middle of a messy divorce, things get dangerous. The statistics show how often women are shot by someone who supposedly loves them.

And something that’s near and dear to my heart—as someone from Hampton—is military veterans. If a veteran is in a bad mental space, maybe we need to take their guns for a second. Just for a minute. This isn’t permanent. The red flag laws that do exist are state by state, and they usually last for about 30 days—just enough time for someone to get the help they need so they don’t hurt themselves or someone close to them.

BLEU: Thank you so much for your art, using your platform, speaking proudly of your family, and so much more. I’ll close with this, what advice do you have for aspiring creatives and actors?

Jason George: It comes down to three things.

Manage Your Money Many actors I went to school with lived like they had steady careers. But we’re not regular employees—we’re actors, working job to job. Their expenses grew, their bills piled up, and eventually, their day job became their only job. The acting career disappeared.

If you keep your finances in check and find a flexible job that allows you to audition and work when opportunities come, you’ll never have to stop acting. Financial freedom doesn’t mean being rich—it means earning at least as much as you spend. If you can do that, you’re good. Study the Craft Learn from the greats. And remember—somebody is going to get the role, so why not you? It’s easy to let self-doubt creep in, but casting directors have to choose someone. Your job is to make them choose you.

ACTIVEWEAR

CO-FOUNDERS TALK NEW COLLECTION DEBUT AND GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

THE PREMIUM COLLECTION GF Activewear was born from a love for the community. Co-founder Goldin Martinez felt inspired to create something for the kids in his neighborhood from a young age. Growing up in Uptown New York, Martinez’s experience in Washington Heights during the 1990s shaped him—an era that devastated the community, becoming the epicenter of the wholesale and retail drug trade in the region.

Despite the circumstances surrounding him, Martinez focused intently on his education, and in 2009, during his first year of business school, the 19-year-old unknowingly embarked on a journey of social entrepreneurship and life-changing impact.

“I remember my professor challenging me to create a business plan in my first year as an exit project,” Martinez tells Bleu Magazine. “I created this concept for an organization called Get Focused that would empower young people with three tools: fitness and health, reading, and community service—three tools that I used as a teenager to put my life on the right trajectory.”

“ Honestly, I’m back today because I wanna get that feeling again. ”

Combining three passions in his business plan, his professor taught him the first rule of business: to make a profit. However, Martinez’s mission was more altruistic than profit-driven, stemming from a heartfelt desire to connect with young people and inspire them to embrace the tools that have been instrumental in his life. As a social entrepreneur ahead of his time in reaching out to youth, he prioritized making an impact over worrying about the bottom line.

How Community Inspired a Lifestyle Brand

Though a slow start in the beginning, Get Focused expanded from a grassroots recreation center with free training sessions to its first official Get Focused Fit Day. Feeling connected with the young men in Washington Heights, Martinez started out simply training students for free twice a week in unused locker room space at Highbridge Recreation Center. Aiming to connect with teenagers, a chance encounter with one student—Jorge Hernandez—changed everything and furthered his understanding of youth engagement.

Hernandez showed up on time, except he was there for what someone told him was a job fair. Martinez instead convinced him to stay for a grueling session that, while he initially swore off forever, inspired him to return the next day to do it again.

“That Thursday, I showed up, and guess who walks into the gym? Jorge Hernandez,” Martinez shares, thinking back to his start. “I’m like, ‘I thought you wasn’t [sic] coming back.’ And he said, ‘Yeah, I thought I wasn’t coming back, either. But I went home on Tuesday night, and as I was walking home, I was thinking how crazy you were. Once I got home and I showered, I felt so good about myself. I felt like I accomplished something. Honestly, I’m back today because I wanna get that feeling again. So if you don’t mind, can we work out again?’”

That unexpected start ignited the mission’s modest beginnings. Over time, Hernandez’s physical health and life changes caught the attention of his teachers and, more importantly, his peers. Curious about the source of his progress, Hernandez revealed that he had merely hired a personal trainer—and it didn’t cost him a dime.

From there, interest grew, first with the guys and then the girls, with each group eventually securing their own training hour twice a week. Martinez describes the early days as the “wild, wild west,” characterized by limited resources and learning about entrepreneurship on the fly. He acknowledges that there is a lot to learn about starting a business.

“ I was just a young dude from my community wanting to make a difference, and all these kids started showing up ”

“I was just a young dude from my community wanting to make a difference, and all these kids started showing up,” he says.

The following summer, in 2010, after successfully hosting the first Get Focused Fit Day with an attendance of 300, Martinez decided to establish Get Focused as a formal business. From primarily volunteering between 2009 and 2012, he gained recognition after a feature story on The Today Show, which facilitated curriculum development for organizations like the Police Athletic League, Harlem Children’s Zone, and HealthCorps, Dr. Oz’s organization. Struggling to connect with kids and engage them in health and fitness, these major organizations sought advice from the philanthropic fitness trainer from Washington Heights.

“They started calling, saying, ‘Hey, we saw your segment,’” Martinez shares. “We would love to talk to you. We’re having trouble getting our kids to work out [and] you seem to have figured it out. We would love to know what Get Focused is doing and implement it into our organization.”

Three years later, understanding that every great organization sells something to generate revenue, and it was time to think through products. In 2012, the first run of GF Activewear of readymade goods was born—lasting for another three years before shuttering in 2015. A New Chapter for GF Activewear and Big Goals for the Future

After pausing his focus on activewear in 2015, Martinez concentrated on student initiatives—promoting reading, exercise, and community service—before pivoting like many during the pandemic. The next two years led Martinez to a new journey in venture capital and private equity, but a supportive nudge from a friend in 2022 made him reconsider reigniting his passion. Following an encouraging phone call from friend and industry colleague Andrew Berg, President of Robert Graham and Avirex, who expressed his commitment to helping Martinez revive his vision, Martinez agreed to embark on the apparel collection journey once again.

One of the phone calls Martinez made after returning to Get Focused mode was to his longtime friend, Sean Eusebio Soto. While many people recognize Soto for his scroll-stopping presence on Instagram, the former Boss Model, who organizes parties and events in NYC, is quite familiar with fashion. His modeling resume includes brands like Sean John and Max Magazine. So when Martinez contacted Soto about supporting his efforts through influencer marketing, Soto offered something even more valuable.

“ When he came to me with the idea, I wanted to be a part of it in the styling and design. ”

“When he came to me with the idea, I wanted to be a part of it in the styling and design,” Soto tells of their partnership origins. “I trust his judgment when it comes to the business aspect, and when it comes to marketing, style, design, and creativity, he trusts my judgment.”

From 2022 on, the duo worked on coordinating even the finest details, down to the fit, in preparation for its launch, which took place in the summer of 2024. The debut collection, now exclusively available to shop on GF Activewear’s website, consists of performance tank tops, T-shirts, sweat pants, and track pants in colors like coal black, icy grey, and hunter green. Since then, Martinez says life and the mission have continued to get brighter in this latest era.

Soto envisions a redefined entry into the athleisure menswear market for GF Activewear, emphasizing detail in style, fit, and fabric flexibility. Meanwhile, Martinez continues to explore ways to give back alongside managing the business. This premium athleisure gear, driven by a social mission, stands out as a brand for which the co-founders have a significant vision. The duo expresses gratitude for the individuals and community partners who have supported their mission—especially for Martinez, who has been dedicated to this for nearly 15 years—as they create high-quality fashion that positively impacts our communities and the lives of young people.

The future, much like its track record, is bright, and the co-founders are excited about the impact to come. As this next phase unfolds, Martinez reflects prophetically, saying, “God willing, Get Focused in the next five or ten years becomes what it’s meant to become and changes millions of lives.”

THE NOLA SALON DEFYING GRAVITY and LIMITS

David Connor is the veteran stylist behind Anti-Gravity, a NOLA salon in the heart of one of America’s most vibrant cities. Get to know his story and get advice on finding a stylist who can give you the hair of your dreams.

There’s nowhere like New Orleans, a city known for its rich culture, diverse people, and unique experiences.

So, when David Connor decided to open a NOLAbased salon, he knew he wanted the business to reflect the city he’s always called home.

Connor started Anti-Gravity in 2019 in the heart of New Orleans. It was a dream that was decades in the making. Connor started giving his classmates haircuts when he was only eleven. He admits that those early cuts were bad enough to warrant concerned calls to his parents, but they were an important step toward his future as a stylist and hair educator.

By high school, he had a book of clients. After graduating, he skipped

college and went to beauty school. In 2006, he began interning with a hair color company, where he refined his skills and got to rub shoulders with hundreds of industry professionals.

“I worked for free for three years, shampooing hair. Back then, you had to be in the room with excellent hairstylists. It was natural for me to fly myself out, shampoo hair backstage, and just sit in at educational events, conventions, and seminars,” Connor recalled.

Eventually, Connor established himself as a name-to-know in the beauty industry, traveling to educational events around the world. The people he met, the conversations he had, and the salons he visited became the foundation he used to build Anti-Gravity.

“I did a lot of research and development, looking at thousands of salons in-person and meeting with people’s challenges,” Connor said.

That background work paid off because Anti-Gravity has maintained a loyal client base and a roster of stylists who are happy to stay on staff. This success is especially impressive considering that Connor and his team had to navigate COVID-19 just five months after opening. But that challenge has been valuable, too.

“It’s made me very resilient. Once you experience the feeling that you’re about to lose it all and you have that many sleepless nights, the other stuff’s just light work,” Connor said.

Connor also attributes the success of Anti-Gravity to the uniquely New Orleans vibe that’s woven into the brand, from the space’s architecture to the welcoming service his team provides. He’s also been very intentional about catering to the many hair textures of New Orleans’ diverse residents.

“There is no Asian hair, Black hair . . . it’s just hair. There are just different textures that we can manipulate or dress in any way. In New Orleans, we really work with and embrace natural textures,” Connor said.

For Connor, making people feel good about themselves through their hair is the goal. As an educator, he helps other stylists embrace the larger impact they can have on their clients, too.

Connor has similar advice for people who can’t make it to AntiGravity but want to find the right stylist or barber. He encourages people to take time to find stylists who do thorough consults and foster personal connections. A good stylist, he noted, will be able to work with your texture to get a flattering silhouette and a style you can maintain at home. If you find a stylist who hits these marks, it’s a good investment.

“Even if it’s way over on the other side of town, it’s worth it,” Connor said. “[Your hair] is the dress you can’t take off. It’s a fashion accessory that is always with you.”

IRV GOTTI

THE HITMAKER BEHIND HIP-HOP'S BIGGEST ANTHEMS

2025 HAS BEEN a trying time for music because we have lost prominent members of the music culture, including Irv Gotti. Gotti, a producer from Queens, recognized the lyrical delivery of rap legends, including Earl "DMX" Simmons. He even put his A&R job with Def Jam on the line for the rapper because he recognized the talent. The record label was unsure about DMX due to his tough exterior and reputation in the streets. But once Irv and Lyor heard him rhyme in Yonkers, Lyor said, "My mother would've signed up for DMX." In the end, DMX saved the Def Jam record label with his songs "Get at Me Dog" and "Ruff Ryders Anthem," his verses on LL Cool J's song "4, 3, 2, 1,” "Money, Power, and Respect," and "24 Hours to Live." Lyor and Gotti knew he would be the voice for the streets and the unheard due to his raw and unapologetic delivery and expression of his infinite relationship with God. X was also the first living rapper to have two number-one albums within the same year and released his signature autobiographical song, "Slippin'."

Gotti’s mega-success with DMX in the late ‘90s allowed him to work with Jay-Z again, singers Ashanti and Lloyd, Eve, Charlie Baltimore, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Lopez, Fat Joe, and his right-hand man, Ja Rule, with his record label, Murder Inc. In an interview, Ja Rule became emotional about Gotti's loss because he thought about their journey together and his sacrifices for the success story. Gotti launched his record label, Murder Inc., with his distribution deal with Def Jam. As an executive for his label, Gotti recognized Ja Rule's artistry, especially as a writer, and with his production, Ja Rule blended his hard-hitting rhymes with melodic hooks. Gotti helped Ja Rule become a dominant force in the late ‘90s to the mid-2000s by producing his biggest hits, such as "Always On Time," "Livin' It Up," "I'm Real," and "Between Me and You."

Outside of music, Ja

and Irv's brotherhood was prevalent when they stood by each other through challenges in the industry, the feud with 50 Cent, and his investigation with the feds. Their interaction indicated that their relationship was more than just business. Therefore, Ja Rule will continue to honor their unbreakable brotherhood, even though Irv is deceased.

Despite his controversial relationships, previous issues with substance abuse, and legal battles, Irv Gotti's influence on music cannot be overstated. His unique approach to music production, blending hip-hop and R&B, resulted in timeless records. His work with Murder Inc. and his ability to create documents that reflected the artists' image set him apart. He was not afraid to reinvent himself, launching a successful career in television with the hip-hop series Tales, releasing the Murder Inc. documentary, venturing into reality television, and other business endeavors. His resilience in the face of personal and professional challenges is a testament to his determination and commitment to his craft.

More than just a producer, Irv Gotti was a visionary who understood the various aspects that contribute to an artist's success, including image and publicity. He was a driving force in show business, making your favorite artists appealing to their audience. As we continue to lose musical artists, let's not forget to honor Irv Gotti, who paved the way for younger artists to have successful careers with his artistic vision. His influence, which has significantly shaped the music industry, will continue to be appreciated for years.
