‘A human experience’ By Chris Valli

An ‘extraordinary opportunity to witness a masterful performance’ and support a vital cause is on offer for locals at the Boathouse Theatre next weekend. A solo play called ‘The Voice of the Departed’ features award-winning Ukrainian actress, director, composer, and singer, Dasha Volga. Dasha’s poignant solo performance is promoted as an ‘emotional rollercoaster’ as she brings to life characters from different times and cultures sharing stories of intimacy and love, solitude and togetherness, war and peace. Continued on page 2. Ukrainian and Blenheim based Anastasiia Shumkova says the show is a different type of theatre. “Dasha is representing herself, the audience will be part of the story and it will be an intimate experience,” she says.
