Celebrating uniqueness By Chris Valli

Spring Creek School in Ferry Road stood in solidarity this morning for the autistic community and celebrating uniqueness. ‘Hoods Up, Volume Down’ saw students wear hoodies (sweatshirts) of their choice and at 10am, participated in a nationwide quiet hour, where they turned off the lights and lowered the noise in their learning environments. The morning and day was about more than just awareness - it was about fostering understanding, inclusion, and support. Continued on page 2. EMBRACING DIFFERENCES: Ryley Tootell and Noah Cooper with Harley Pike, one of Spring Creek’s neurodiverse students who receives ORS (Ongoing Resource Scheme) funding.
