For Royal New Zealand Air Force Officer Cadet Sophia Wells, 24, the tattered diary is a precious link to her great grandfather, Edward Soper of Blenheim. As she stands at the ANZAC Day dawn service in Picton, she will pay tribute to him and the many others who served before. Continued on page 3.
