Charity swing dance Story and photo by Celeste Lodewyk Tickets have gone on sale for an exciting fundraising event next month, a ‘1940’s Swing Dance’ which will raise funds for Cancer Society Marlborough. The dance will be held in the Sounds Aero Maintenance hangar at Omaka Airfield. True to theme the hangar will be decorated inside and out to depict the era, complemented by music and aircraft from the 1940’s. Cancer Society Marlborough fundraiser Zoe Gray said people are encouraged to dress up in theme and can look forward to a “fantastic night of entertainment”.
