The East Kootenay Foundation for Health’s 8th Annual Starlite Campaign is raising funds for regional and community health care

programs. These programs are dedicated to helping those with arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, respiratory needs, and other health conditions these programs also help those who may require assistance with chronic disease management, home nursing, in-home oxygen, wound, senior, pediatric and self-care. More often than not these programs have smaller equipment needs. However, the impact those pieces of equipment and patient education tools can deliver through these programs, can often help people who wouldn’t have had anywhere else to turn to for assistance. We are completely reliant on charitable donations in order to be able to assist these and other areas of health care. That is why we ask you to remember EKFH with a charitable gift to sustain the important work we do. Your contributions however large or small are greatly appreciated and are put to good use in your community or the East Kootenay region. The holiday season is here again and we at East Kootenay Foundation for Health (EKFH) have much to be grateful for. We are grateful to you, our wonderful donors and supporters. You are helping to advance and improve health care at many hospitals and health care facilities located in communities throughout the East Kootenay region. We sincerely hope you know what a difference you make.

Gifts Flow in the East Kootenay A number of East Kootenay community health care sites are reaping the benefits from donations to the East Kootenay Foundation for Health. Foundation directors approved allocating a total of $98,697 for the purchase of equipment for Creston Home Health, Invermere Chronic Disease, Cranbrook Nurse Practitioners, and Cranbrook and Kimberley Wellness Centers. Equipment items include an infusion pump, blood pressure monitors, procedure tables, plus many other important contributions for clinical care.

This year EKFH invites you to support community and regional health care programs by making a gift to our annual Starlite Campaign. Since 2008 the Starlite Campaign has raised over $700,000 and your generous donations have provided much-needed funds to purchase medical equipment and patient comforts for many areas of care and have helped to complete major capital campaigns such as the Clear View ~ digital stereotactic and EKRH ICU Redevelopment project.

A legacy gift is a living reminder of individuals who care about their community and supported causes that were important to them.
