Two more dispensaries get business licenses
The market will decide whether medical marijuana businesses make it or not, Council says C AROLYN GR ANT Bulletin Editor
In two separate votes, Kimberley City Council granted business licenses to two more medical marijuana businesses for Kimberley on Monday evening. New business sector As Council discussed medical marijuana business l i ce n s e s o n Monday evening, Mayor Don McCormick noted that Kimberley was building quite a sizeable alternative health business sector. “I’ve done a quick scan of business licenses and see we currently have 20 plus businesses that are engaged in alternative health,” he said. “If you look at massage therapy, hydro-therapy, reflexology, chiropractors, physio, yoga and more, quietly, over the past four or five years, there is the makings of an industry. Clearly there is a need in the community, because they are making good use of these services.”
