Special days … ROD LINK / THE NORTHERN CONNECTOR

TERRACE - June 21 brought out crowds for National Aboriginal Day celebrations at George Little Park in Terrace with music, dance groups, cultural displays, educational displays, arts and crafts displays and food. Top is Maureen Johnson fashioning another piece of bannock for the deep fryer. Her family is a Saturday regular at the farmers market in Terrace. Meanwhile, on the right, Father’s Day, also June 21, saw people testing their archery precision at the Kitimat Rod and Gun Club. The event was part of the wider provincial Family Fishing Day, and locally included a barbecue and some exhibits inside the rod and gun hall.
