Message from the President The Canadian Home Builders’ Association of Northern BC is one of nine regional association of¹ces in the province collectively representing a cross section of members in the residential construction industry including: builders, renovators, developers, designers, suppliers, real estate and ¹nancial professionals and other related businesses and organizations.
Housing is a key part of the Canadian economy effecting related industries such as the banking & mortgage sectors, raw materials, employment, construction, manufacturing and real estate. “Housing starts” statistics are considered to be a critical indicator of economic strength. Many municipalities are adopting the “Housing First Initiative” when dealing with the impacting issues of homelessness and a shortage of safe and affordable housing is a key priority for senior citizens.
