UBC Okanagan’s School of Engineering will host the annual Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race, Jan. 21 to 25. The concrete toboggans must be designed to carry five riders, weigh less than 300 lbs., withstand an impact of 80 km/h and be equipped with a braking and steering system, roll cage and an entire running surface composed of concrete.
