The 39th Telethon builds on 40 Years of service to the Comox Valley The CVCDA is a local agency serving local children. Since opening our doors 40 years ago in Cumberland, the CVCDA has served thousands of children who have needed early intervention and extra support. Our services include: Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy for children under 6 with developmental concerns; a home-based Infant Development Program for infants from birth to three years of age; the Supported Child Development Program that makes it possible for children who need extra support to be integrated in pre-school, daycare, and public school; the Community Integration Program for teens, The Autism Program (TAP) offering oneto-one intervention and small group social skills development, and The Youth Transition Program for teens/ adults over the age of 19 with developmental disabilities. This year is our 39th annual Telethon and it is the major fund raising project for our association. The Telethon is packed with local entertainment and provides an entertaining, fun way to support the kids. We rely on funds raised at the Telethon to provide the specialized equipment and programming that our participants need. Last year funds from the telethon went towards the equipment needed for our brand new sensory room. This is a state of the art facility to benefit children with sensory challenges. There are many ways to support the Telethon from making a donation, to buying a ticket on the De-
