Human remains retrieved from the Oyster River Mike Davies Campbell RiveR miRRoR
Staff Sgt. Troy Beauregard of the Campbell River RCMP has confirmed that they are assisting the B.C. Coroner’s service in the investigation of human remains recovered from the Oyster River just south of Campbell River earlier this month. A York Road resident, who has requested anonymity, tells the Mirror that on Aug. 4 snorkelers swimming in the river discovered a body. Search and Rescue and police attended and retrieved the remains from the river. The coroner’s service did not comment on the matter in time for publication.
