Burnaby RCMP have arrested a man in connection with a shooting in the parking lot of Brentwood mall last month. Trevor Michael Scott Taylor, 29, was arrested July 15, said Burnaby RCMP Insp. Bob Page. Taylor remains in custody. He faces charges of aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, and possession of a firearm while prohibited. “We are unable to provide any further details at this time,” Page said. The shooting happened June 21 at about 8:30 p.m. when Burnaby RCMP began receiving several calls about shots being fired at the mall. When officers arrived they found a 51-year-old man with gunshot wounds. He had been shot while sitting in his vehicle outside the McDonald’s restaurant. The injuries were serious but non-life threatening. At the time, police said witnesses reported seeing two people running from the scene. twitter.com/WandaChow
