Bring your family to a day of activities, family friendly races and entertainment at Rocky Point Park! Musical entertainment include Charlotte Diamond, The Pids, Wall Street and ABRA Cadabra followed by fireworks. This free event is hosted by local favourite Tony Prophet.
2013 Wearable Art Awards
February 24, 10am-4pm Celebrate Heritage Week and our centennial with a self-guided tour of 10 local heritage homes. These homes represent the development of Port Moody’s neighbourhoods over the years. Enjoy tea and treats provided by the Moody Elementary PAC. Tickets: $30, Port Moody Station Museum or www.portmoodymuseum.org.

Commemorative Council Meeting April 7, 1pm-2pm Kyle Centre Join the City in celebrating the anniversary of Port Moody’s inaugural Council meeting of April 7, 1913. Mayor and Council take us back 100 years in a re-enactment of that meeting, including period costumes, heritage vehicles and debate on 100-year old bylaws.
Community Arts Gathering April 7, 2pm-4pm Port Moody Arts Centre Travel back with us to Port Moody in the 1913s and enjoy historical re-enactments, art and artifacts, music, high tea and a Victorian photo booth. Historic dress is welcomed.
The Centennial Wall Hanging is a community driven project involving over 100 volunteers stitching artist designs to bring Port Moody history to life. The piece is on display in the Civic Centre Galleria between February 20 to March 1 from 2-4pm daily. Stop by and contribute a stitch or two.

Watch youth take on the role of Council during Port Moody’s first decade (1913-1923) and debate issues of the day. May 22 at Inlet Theatre.
