55+ Yoga
Poses are modified to every body type and level of ability, with extra time spent doing gentle stretches to warm up the neck, back, shoulders, feet, and hands. Exercises, once learned, can easily be applied at home or anywhere with only a yoga mat and a desire to keep the aches of aging at bay. Understanding conflict styles is an essential skill in the conflict resolution process. Each one of us has a natural style preference as to how we handle conflict in a variety of situations. It is important to understand different conflict handling styles and the impact each style has on the outcome of the situation. Conflict is an opportunity to increase communication and improve relationships if handled well. Depending on the intended outcome, an appropriate style can be employed to affect the intended impact. Through working with conflict handling preferences as measured by the Thomas Killman Conflict Mode, you will gain an understanding of how your preferred style contributes to conflict and how it can be used to facilitate its resolution. Come prepared to participate. Location: SLCC Instructor: Anthony C Bone, BA, CD
