Beautiful Saanich in 18 hours W

ith 110,000 residents calling Saanich home in a municipality of 100 square kilometres, there’s never a shortage of compelling people living their lives and doing interesting activities. Over 18 hours on June 12, we sent nine photographers to the businesses, homes, parks, farms, trails and streets that make up this vast community. It was a day of sunny breaks and rainy showers that seems typical of this year’s summer. Our photographers highlighted people working hard, enjoying time with their family and experiencing the natural environment, parks and playing fields of this community. We hope you enjoy our record of a single day in Saanich. —Edward Hill, editor
